Pittsburgh Steelers at Houston Texans: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 4 game

Two teams coming off convincing victories will meet in an AFC clash featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) and the Houston Texans (1-2).

The defense once again came through for Pittsburgh in a "Sunday Night Football" win against the Las Vegas Raiders, but quarterback Kenny Pickett had one of the best games of his young career. If the offense picks up, there's no limit on how good the Steelers can be.

It was a promising game for the rebuilding Texans in Week 3, as they were able to capitalize on several miscues from the Jacksonville Jaguars on the way to a 20-point win. C.J. Stroud had a solid performance, and head coach DeMeco Ryans will look for another impressive outing from his first-year starter.

Lorenzo Reyes: Steelers 20, Texans 19

The Texans have played hard for rookie coach DeMeco Ryans and C.J. Stroud has been one of the best stories in the NFL so far this season. The Steeler roster is still better on paper, though I can see Houston keeping this one quite close.

Tyler Dragon: Steelers 21, Texans 16

Mike Tomlin’s Steelers have won two in a row after being steamrolled by the 49ers in Week 1. Pittsburgh’s defense has made game-changing plays the past two weeks and the offense is doing just enough to win games. That continues against the Texans.

Victoria Hernandez: Steelers 25, Texans 17

It’s almost time to put confidence in the Texans. But not yet. Even though both teams are coming off impressive road wins, Pittsburgh has more momentum and more experience. T.J. Watt has a league-leading six sacks and will rattle rookie C.J. Stroud.

Jordan Mendoza: Steelers 23, Texans 13

Pittsburgh's defense has had an outstanding past two weeks and they'll get a juicy matchup against Houston. The Texans have shown what they could do against mistake-prone teams, but the Steelers play a clean game to secure a win. Defense will make this a low-scoring affair.
