Canada Day plus one at Wimbledon

July 1 was Canada Day, of course, but July 2 was a day on which absolutely everything went right for the remaining Canadians at Wimbledon. Vasek Pospisil and his American partner advanced to the men's doubles quarter-finals. Daniel Nestor, already in the men's doubles quarters, is now also in the mixed doubles quarter-finals after another win. Katherine Sebov advanced in girls doubles while Francoise Abanda moved on to the third round of girls singles.
