Phoenix Suns fans take comfort in Minnesota Timberwolves' rout of Denver Nuggets
This isn't going to last long for Phoenix Suns fans, but they'll take any relief they can get right now.
Fans and sports media have reacted on X (formerly Twitter) after the Minnesota Timberwolves routed the defending champion Denver Nuggets by 26 points in Game 2 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs on Monday. The game was the Timberwolves' largest postseason victory margin in franchise history, and they're now up 2-0 in the series.
This came a week after the T-Wolves swept the Suns in the first round, and fans seemed to be taking comfort in what they're seeing happen to the Nuggets. Many Suns faithful posted memes, jokes, and commentary.

The West's No. 3 seed Minnesota held the Nikola Jokic-led No. 2 Denver to its season-low 80 points, and a mere 35% from the field including 30% from deep in Game 2. The T-Wolves bullied the Nuggets defensively as they won their sixth straight playoff game this season, doing so Monday without Rudy Gobert, a leading contender for NBA Defensive Player of the Year (the award will be announced Tuesday evening).
