The Phoenix Suns game at the Detroit Pistons originally slated for Jan. 12 has been rescheduled to 11 a.m. Arizona time on Jan. 16.

The change was among a list of rescheduled games announced by the NBA on Monday. The list includes 11 games postponed in December because of COVID-19 impact. The league also moved eight other games to new dates to accommodate the rescheduled games and avoid creating ''schedule density'' among impacted teams. One of those was the Suns-Pistons game.

The game originally scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 12, now moves to the following Sunday. Detroit's Dec. 14 game at Chicago, which was postponed, was rescheduled to Jan. 11, the day before they would've hosted the Suns at home. The Pistons also play on Jan. 10, hosting the Jazz.

The Jan. 12 date would've been the second of a eoa back-to-back for Phoenix. The Suns play at Toronto on Jan. 11. Instead, the Jan. 16 game will be the first of a back-to-back for the Suns, with the second coming Jan. 17 at San Antonio.

Phoenix also plays at Indiana on Jan. 14.

No other Phoenix games are impacted. However, in the statement listing the new game dates, the NBA also noted the Suns' Feb. 3 game at Atlanta would be televised by TNT. The game starts at 5:30 p.m., Arizona time.
