Phoenix Mercury make it easy to stream 2024 WNBA games

The Phoenix Mercury announced the launch of its new direct-to-consumer streaming platform "Mercury Live" on Tuesday.

This is the sister service to the Phoenix Suns' "Suns Live," which began showing the team's games at the start of the 2023-24 NBA season.

The Suns and Mercury apps are powered by streaming company Kiswe. Mercury Live is presented by Cleveland Avenue, the venture capital firm that has a multiyear partnership patch deal the the Mercury and the team's other partners.

Mercury Live will begin streaming with of the home opener against the Atlanta Dream on Saturday. Phoenix's season opener is a road game at the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday.

Seasonal subscription packages are being sold for $19.99 and monthly packages are $5.99 at Live.PhoenixMercury.com.

“To me, it goes to care and investment," Mercury CEO Josh Bartelstein said at the team's media day last Thursday. "It’s something that (Suns and Mercury owner Mat Ishbia), that myself, that everyone you talk to, they truly care about. We live and breathe this every single day, and you gotta invest in it.

"Not invest it in because you’re gonna make money or because it’s good economically. Invest it in because you know where it can be and you know it can grow to. Now you’re seeing that happen, and it brings a smile on my face that everyone’s talking about the (WNBA), but we’ve planted all these seeds over the past year and we’ve seen them grow significantly.”

Fans who purchase the service before May 22 can get two Mercury home game tickets.

All 28 locally broadcast regular season games will simulcast on Mercury Live allowing subscribers to live stream games at home or via their desktop or mobile devices. In addition to live games, subscribers can view behind-the-scenes content and on-demand games.
