Perfection: Wednesday's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes

Mayday, mayday. The MetroWest and Milford-area a Fantastic Five got off to a perfect start in May.

They shut out opponents, soared to victory and hammered homers.

Without further ado, May 1st's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five:

ADRIANNA GENTILE, Algonquin girls track & field

She finished first in three events for the Titans in a 95-50 victory against Shrewsbury. Gentile was first in the 100-meter dash, 200 and long jump. Algonquin's Olivia LaBelle won the 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles for the Titans (2-0).

SOPHIE JORJORIAN, Lincoln-Sudbury softball

The junior Jorjorian threw a no-hitter, going five innings and striking out 10 with three walks as the Warriors (10-0) earned an 18-0 (5 inn.) win over Newton South.

MATT MAHONEY, Lincoln-Sudbury baseball

He threw a perfect game in a 12-0, five-inning victory over Newton South, striking out nine. Mahoney scored three runs and hit a game-ending home run in the bottom of the fifth, finishing with three RBIs. Garrett Mahoney had four RBIs on a 2-for-2 day for the Warriors (8-3, 4-1 Dual County League). L-S' Law DeNormandie picked up a hit and an RBI in his first varsity at bat. Jake Haarde had two hits including a double, scored two runs and stole two bases, and Cooper Tarantino doubled with an RBI for the Warriors.

AVA McLEOD, AMSA softball

She didn't allow a hit over five innings in an 18-1 win over Worcester Tech. McLeod struck out seven and was 2-for-4 with an RBI at the plate, stealing two bases. Abigal Asman and Makayla Laudate each had three hits for the Eagles (8-1, 4-0 Colonial).

LIVI SOUSA, Hudson softball

She went 2-for-4 and hit her first career home run in a 10-2 win over Shrewsbury. Alyssa Davis was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Hudson (7-3), while Audrey Lenox added two hits.

AVA VANBUSKIRK, Marlborough girls track

She won the 200-meter dash, 400 and long jump, as Marlborough fell 78-58 against Leominster. Marlborough's Risha Khanderia took first in the 800, Tayla Stempson was first in the mile, Addie Johnson took first in the discus, Yanira Urbie Rosa won the shot put and Simone Roberts placed first in the high jump.

Baseball

DOVER-SHERBORN 12, Holliston 1: Raiders sophomore Ronan Sullivan allowed just one hit over six innings and struck out two.

SOUTHEASTERN 6, Tri-County 4: Noah Roche drove in two runs and had a hit for the Cougars (5-2, 3-1 Mayflower). Tri-County's Dylan Maw and Joey Thomas added two hits each.

MILLIS 10, Medfield 8: Nick Hohman had three hits and two RBIs for Millis (2-8, 2-8 TVL). Millis freshman starter Brody Barrett struck out seven over 5 2/3 innings and walked four times at the plate. Millis' Talon Shepardson added three hits with two RBIs.

FRANKLIN 7, Milford 6: Lukas Phillip had two hits and an RBI for the Panthers. Franklin's Ben Yuknis drove in the winning run, while Sean Kryzak drove in two runs. Rex Cinelli (RBI) and Jake Shaughnessey each had a hit and a run, while Dom Caccavelli walked three times, scored twice and singled.

HOPKINTON 5, Medway 0: Dylan Ruff had three hits and an RBI for the Hillers. Derek Hatherly struck out seven with just one walk and allowed three hits over six innings to earn the win. Hopkinton's Nick Pedroli, Keenan MacDonald (hit) and Peter Mahon (hit) each had an RBI.

BRAINTREE 3, Framingham 2: Lucas Messer doubled twice and drove in two runs for the Flyers. Framingham's Robby White and Jace Coleman singled and scored one run each. White also allowed just three hits with three walks in six innings of work.

ASHLAND 7, Dedham 2: Dean Reap was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and scored two runs for the Clockers. Ashland's Oli Larea had two hits and scored two runs. Jerry Judge threw a complete game for he Clockers, allowing just two hits with four strikeouts.

KEEFE TECH 15, Worcester North 5 (5): Jaxson Fertel had three hits and two runs for the Broncos (3-5).

AMSA 11, Worcester Tech 3: Trevor Petty had three hits, and Anthony Skillings and C.J. Skowronek each drove in two runs for the Eagles (5-3, 4-1 Colonial).

NIPMUC 12, Sutton 0: Joshua Giancola (3-for-3, three RBIs) and Anthony Ruggiero (2-for-3, three RBIs) homered, and Cam Allen allowed just two hits in five innings for the Warriors (6-4, 4-1 Dual Valley) in his first varsity start.

WACHUSETT 4, Westborugh 2: Marco Micucci knocked in both of the Rangers' runs, while Joe Marino singled and scored for Westborough (4-7, 2-2 Mid-Wach A).

NASHOBA 9, Hudson 1: Caelen O'Brien went 2-for-3 for the Hawks (6-5, 2-4).

Softball

WESTWOOD 4, Bellingham 1: Jacobi Houston was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Blackhawks (3-8, 1-8 TVL). Bellingham's Cassidy Leger made three put outs.

TRI-COUNTY 8, Southeastern 7: Mackenzie Duffy plated the winning run with a solo homer in the sixth inning for the Cougars (7-2, 4-0 Mayflower). Tri-County's Ava Cossette (two RBIs) Madison Benoit (four steals) each had two hits. Cougars starter Kaleigh Stenstrom struck out five and earned the win.

MEDFIELD 10, Millis 9: Zoe Sparks and Macy Ingraham had three hits each for Millis, while Riley Caulfield dropped in two hits.

HOPEDALE 25, Whitinsville Christian 1: Layden MacDonald (two RBIs) and Kelsey Evans (homer, 5 RBIs) each had two hits, Lizzie Brytowski homered and drove in four, and Maddie DiMaio knocked in two runs for the Blue Raiders (9-1, 6-0 Dual Valley).

WACHUSETT 12, Westborough 2: Jocelyn Franklin singled and doubled for the Rangers (5-6, 2-3 Mid-Wach A).

MEDWAY 10, Hopkinton 7: Gracie Delucia launched a three-run homer for the Mustangs (6-3). Medway's Katie Anderson hit her seventh home run of the season, and Olivia Klaus was 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Holly Paharik dropped in her 100th career hit for Hopkinton (7-5).

Girls lacrosse

AMSA 15, St. Bernard's 5: Clare Jackson, Jillian Gowaski and Maeve Powers each had a hat trick for the Eagles (8-2).

Boys volleyball

ACTON-BOXBOROUGH 3, Lincoln-Sudbury 2: Sebastiano D'Ambrosio put down 17 kills for the Warriors (5-4). Tim Langille added five blocks, three kills and two aces for the Warriors, while Timmy Kearney distributed 34 assists with two blocks and a kill. L-S' Ben Gottlieb had 10 kills, two blocks and an ace.

KEEFE TECH 3, Main South 0: John Loja had a double-double with 10 assists and 10 digs in a  25-7, 25-12, 25-19 victory. C.J. Sok led the Broncos (11-1, 7-0 Colonial) with eight kills, while Logan Greenlaw contributed five kills, three digs and two aces.

Boys tennis

WESTBOROUGH 5, Algonquin 0; WESTBOROUGH 4, Algonquin 1: Jorge Garcia won matches playing at both singles and doubles for the Rangers (8-0), while Tyler Lattanzio picked up wins as part of two different doubles teams in the doubleheader sweep.

Girls tennis

HOLLISTON 3, Dover-Sherborn 2: Caroline Cosgrove (No. 1 singles), Lidnsay Haddad (No. 2) and Aniskha Kommenini (No. 3) all won in straight sets to secure the victory for the Panthers (6-2, 6-2 TVL).

WHITINSVILLE CHRISTIAN 3, AMSA 2: Eagles No. 3 singles player Sahasra Jangareddi earned a 6- 6-0 win over Julia Gibbons, and Katina Gakis and Riley Whitier prevailed 6-1, 6-0 over Mia Besong and Alexi Gilchrist for AMSA (2-7).

WESTBOROUGH 5, Algonquin 0; WESTBOROUGH 4, Algonquin 1: Gina Hajiseyedjavady, Diya Bhattacharya, Isabel Feldman and the Rangers No. 1 doubles team of Sashasra Komminea and Elena Chen went 2-0 for Westborough.

Girls track & field

Westborough 72.5, Wachusett 72.5:  Quinn Anderson won the shot put and discus for the Rangers (1-1-1, 0-1-1 Mid-Wach A).
