Patriots Wire staff game picks and scores for Patriots-Jets game

The New England Patriots try to avoid a third straight loss in their first road game of the season on Sunday against the New York Jets.

They have to like their chances on the surface. The Jets have lost the last 14 straight games in the head-to-head meetings, and quarterback Zach Wilson has consistently been treated like a crash test dummy by the Patriots defense. He has thrown seven interceptions and been sacked 11 times in four games against New England.

With that said, the Patriots are dealing with issues of their own, including multiple injuries on both sides of the ball.

The offensive line has been a patchwork effort for the first two games of the season, and both cornerbacks Marcus Jones and Jack Jones are on injured reserve, while Jonathan Jones is still working his way back from an ankle injury.

Will the Patriots have enough to get the job done against a confident Jets team with an elite defense? Here’s the full round-up of Patriots Wire staff picks for the Week 3 matchup:

Jordy McElroy (0-2) – Patriots 17, Jets 10

Danny Jaillet (2-0) – Patriots 21, Dolphins 14

Cam Garrity (1-1) – Patriots 35, Jets 7

Michael Braithwaite (0-2) – Patriots 21, Jets 10
