Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey collides with photographer in 1st training camp practice

Yesterday, Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey said he’s feeling better than he ever has. Well, he promptly put that feeling to the test.

During the team’s very first practice of 2022 training camp on Wednesday, the All-Pro rusher collided with a team photographer following a reception. And, as you would expect, it didn’t go over very well . . .

After his historic 2019 campaign and a subsequent big-money contract extension, McCaffrey has hardly seen the field. The previously reliable do-it-all back has become an oft-injured one, having missed 23 of a possible 33 games over the past two seasons.

When he arrived at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C. on Tuesday, McCaffrey told reporters about his renewed approach of maintaining his health.

“Yeah, I think any time you have to adapt out of your comfort zone, takes a leap of faith” he said. “But when you get the results you want, it makes you trust the process a little more. So, it’s my job to trust my process. I feel great. I feel the best I’ve ever felt. I’m ready to go.”

Luckily, he’s still ready to go.
