Packers workout former Broncos draft pick Lorenzo Doss

A former draft pick of the Denver Broncos was among six players who worked out for the Green Bay Packers on Thursday.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the Packers had cornerback Lorenzo Doss, a fifth-round pick of the Broncos in 2015, in town for a tryout on Thursday.

Doss was joined by cornerbacks Dee Delaney, Rojesterman Farris and Ashton Lampkin, safety Innis Gaines and tight end Matthew Wilkerson.

Doss (5-11, 187) was a member of the Broncos team that won Super Bowl 50, although he was inactive for the game.

Doss played 15 games over three seasons in Denver (2015-17), tallying five tackles and two pass breakups. He played in one game with the Carolina Panthers in 2018 but wasn’t on a 53-man roster in 2019.

The New York Guardians took Doss in the XFL draft.

The Packers did not announce an immediate roster move on Thursday. It’s likely the team was simply updating its available player board, as most teams do during the week.
