OT Jimothy Lewis becomes Mississippi State football's sixth 2024 4-star commitment

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football added to its 2024 recruiting class on Saturday with the commitment of offensive lineman Jimothy Lewis. He is a four-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, out of Bradenton, Florida.

Lewis attends IMG Academy − a school he transferred to before his junior season after playing at Madison-Ridgeland Academy in Madison, Mississippi.

Lewis (6-foot-6, 275 pounds) is the sixth four-star player in MSU's upcoming class and the fourth to commit in the past week. The momentum on the recruiting trail stems back to Mississippi State's Big Dawg Clinic on June 1.

Entering the camp, coach Zach Arnett and his staff had five commitments. The class is up to 14 players and ranks sixth in the SEC with Lewis' commitment.

The first four-star to commit to State was quarterback Josh Flowers out of Alabama. His announcement came in March and stood as the lone four-star commitment until June 1, when defensive lineman Terrance Hibbler announced he's coming to MSU.

The momentum peaked June 20 when a trio of four-star prospects announced their commitment. Defensive back PJ Woodland was the first. He was followed by wide receivers JJ Harrell and Braylon Burnside.
