Ole Miss baseball score updates vs. Morehead State: Rebels host Eagles in nonconference set
OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball will be out to score its third consecutive weekend series win when it welcomes Morehead State to Swayze Field for a three-game set beginning Friday.
The Rebels (9-5) took two out of three from Iowa last weekend, then dispatched Memphis in a midweek game. Three games with the Eagles and a Tuesday game at ULM will mark the final nonconference tuneups before the Rebels begin SEC play.
Morehead State (7-5) took two out of three games from Butler last weekend before dropping a midweek game at Louisville. The Eagles won the Ohio Valley Conference regular-season crown a year ago. Coach Brady Ward is in his first season on the job.

Game 1: Ole Miss 10, Morehead State 3.
Gunnar Dennis allowed one earned run in five innings of work, and the Ole Miss bullpen pitched four scoreless innings in support. Ethan Lege drove in three runs to give the Rebels all the offense they'd need.
Game 2: Ole Miss 13, Morehead State 1
Liam Doyle struck out eight and allowed one run in 3.1 innings of work as the Ole Miss bullpen again turned in a spotless outing ‒ this one anchored by Mason Nichols' five strikeouts in two frames. The Rebels managed 13 runs with just one extra-base hit thanks to nine walks and 10 singles.
Game 3: Ole Miss 6, Morehead State 1
The Rebels rode five scoreless innings from starter Grayson Saunier to a series sweep. Andrew Fischer, Ethan Lege and Will Furniss each hit homers, giving Ole Miss all of the cushion it needed to survive a rare off-day from its bullpen.
