Odell Beckham Jr. says 2023 could be his last year in the NFL

Former LSU receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had quite a start to his career, becoming one of the league’s top receivers very quickly with the New York Giants.

But recent years have been tough for him. His production dropped during a two-plus year stint with the Cleveland Browns, and while he had something of a career resurgence at the end of the 2021 season while helping the Los Angeles Rams win a Super Bowl, he suffered a torn ACL in that game and subsequently missed the 2022 season.

Beckham landed with the Baltimore Ravens this offseason where he’ll look to be the big-time weapon in the passing game that Lamar Jackson has been missing. Ahead of his first year with the team, he said it will likely also be his last in the league.

“I’m thinking like this is my last year,” Beckham told The Athletic. “I’m going to give it my all this year. And then if something happens after that, we can go from there.

“I went through a lot the last couple of years, and I thought it was over,” Beckham said. “I didn’t want to get back up on the horse and do the same song and dance all over again.”

We’ll have to wait to see if it truly turns out to be the last ride for the three-time Pro Bowler and two-time Second-Team All-Pro.
