NHL allows tailgating for 2020 Winter Classic
From Grinch to holiday angel.
The NHL has decided to reverse their initial barring of tailgating at the upcoming NHL Winter Classic held at the Cotton Bowl on January 1st.

Fans may now tailgate in pre-purchased lots on the grounds until puck drop at 12:30 p.m. CST.
The NHL will be also be hosting a pregame fan festival at the State Fair of Texas with the Midway open to fans with tickets from 9:00 am till puck drop, and after the game till close at 8 p.m. The game is expected to draw at least 83,000 people, and is predicted to be the second-highest attended NHL game in league history.
This years Winter Classic will be the southernmost outdoor game in league history, held at the iconic Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Predictions for weather on January 1st estimate to be between 50-60 F, or 10-15 °C. Simply perfect tailgating weather.
The NHL has been working tirelessly to ensure on-ice conditions are unaffected by the southern climate for the matchup between the Dallas Stars and Nashville Predators.
