NFL mock draft roundup: Where everyone is projecting Jaquan Brisker in 2022 NFL draft

Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker is considered one of the top safeties in the 2022 NFL draft pool, and he could very well be the second safety selected by an NFL team after Notre Dame‘s Kyle Hamilton goes in the first round. But the mock drafts leading up to the start of the 2022 NFL draft seem to be in some unison in believing Brisker will have to wait until the second day of the draft to get the awaited phone call from some NFL general manager or head coach.

Brisker appears in the second round of many mock drafts from draft experts leading up to this year’s draft, and he could be heading to any number of teams based on the updated mock drafts we scanned. This tends to happen when a player is projected to go in the second round, as an entire draft outlook can drastically change at any moment the deeper you get into a draft as teams select players and big boards across the league react in real time.

But with the draft coming up at the end of the week, here is where some of the latest mock drafts have Penn State’s top defensive backfield prospect since Bryan Scott was a second-round pick in 2003.

Round 3, Pick 68, Houston Texans

Mel Kiper has Jaquan Brisker waiting until the third round to be drafted, which will come on the second night of the draft. Kiper says the Texans need talent at every position on their roster, and Brisker would be a good need on the defense.

Round 2, No. 58, Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons will pick up Brisker with a second pick in the second round by way of a trade with Tennessee. After adding quarterback Sam Howell earlier in Williams’s mock draft in the second round, Brisker will address a need on the other side of the football for the Falcons.

Round 2, No. 51, Philadelphia Eagles

Or maybe Brisker could go to Wentz’s former team in the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles? Brisker is the kind of player that would identify well in the city that was once home to Brian Dawkins.

Round 2, No. 36, New York Giants

Or perhaps another team in the NFC East??? Vinnie Iyer has one of the highest draft projections for Brisker, with the New York Giants bringing him to the Big Apple early in the second round and reuniting him with Saquon Barkley.
