NFL mock draft: Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers or Caleb Williams to Arizona Cardinals?

The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft is almost here.

Who will the Arizona Cardinals take with the No. 4 pick on Thursday, if they keep it?

Will general manager Monti Ossenfort make any trades during the opening round?

Could we see any surprises or shocking moves from the Cardinals?

Take a look at what NFL sites and NFL writers predict the Cardinals will do in their final 2024 NFL mock drafts for their first pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft Thursday night, the No. 4 overall selection, including some interesting projections (trading Kyler Murray and taking Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall?!).

Draft Wire: Cardinals will trade Kyler Murray for No. 1 overall pick, select USC QB Caleb Williams

Curt Popejoy also has Arizona taking Washington WR Rome Odunze at No. 4.

He writes: "The Cardinals swoop in out of nowhere and land the top quarterback in the draft and dump Kyler Murray’s salary at the same time."

That would definitely count as a shocker and a surprise.

Washington Post: Cardinals pick Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. at No. 6 after trade with New York Giants

Jason La Canfora writes: "He’s been linked to the Cardinals throughout this process, and for good reason. I wouldn’t be shocked in the least if they remain at No. 4 and take Harrison there."

CBS Sports: Cardinals take LSU WR Malik Nabers at No. 4

Pete Prisco writes:  "I like Nabers more than Marvin Harrison, which is why this is the pick. Nabers has more wiggle in my mind. Both will be great, but my preference is Nabers."

NFL.com: Cardinals select Marvin Harrison Jr. at No. 4

Charles Davis writes: "Yes, GM Monti Ossenfort is open for business, and this is a key spot for teams seeking a QB. (Vikings? Broncos? Raiders?) But in this scenario, the Cards stand pat. If they do trade this pick, expect another one of the draft's top WRs to still land in Phoenix on Day 1."

NFL.com: Cardinals trade down with Minnesota Vikings for No. 11, No. 23 picks

Eric Edholm has the Cardinals selecting Toledo CB Quinyon Mitchell at No. 11 and LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr. at No. 23.

He writes: "After missing out on the top receivers early on, the Cardinals can wait for their next two firsts in the 20s to address that spot. Instead, they nab one of the top two corners -- a huge need spot in Jonathan Gannon's defense. Mitchell's length and athleticism will be a big help against tough NFC West receivers."

Yahoo Sports: Cardinals land Marvin Harrison Jr. at No. 4

It writes: "This Cardinals selection has a chance to be one of the main pivot points of this draft, especially for the teams that have targeted J.J. McCarthy (or fancy Harrison or one of the top WRs themselves). Here, the Cardinals decide they don’t need any more picks to accumulate and actually need the players to start building around. Harrison is as good of a building block there is, makes for a fun 1-2 punch with tight end Trey McBride, and gives the Cardinals an intriguing group of pass catchers with second-year player Michael Wilson and personal favorite Greg Dortch."

The Ringer: Cardinals trade No. 4 pick to Las Vegas Raiders for No. 13, 2025 first, 2026 first

The site then has Arizona trading back up to No. 6 with the New York Giants, giving up No. 13, No. 35 and No. 186, while also getting No. 70.

Sheil Kapadia writes: "The compensation is similar to what it took for the Cardinals to move up from no. 12 to no. 6 last year. Arizona selects Nabers, filling another premium position on offense."

NFL.com: Cardinals trade back with Giants, take Washington WR Rome Odunze at No. 6

Chad Reuter writes: "The Cardinals would likely love to swing a trade like this because they would receive additional draft capital and only have to drop two spots, putting them in position to still land an elite receiver or edge rusher. Dallas Turner could be the pick here, but I'm running with Odunze, who will bulk up a severely lacking group of pass catchers. His game reminds me of Charger-turned-Jet Mike Williams', but he has more strength and explosion after the catch. I expect him to be a dynamic playmaker for years to come."

What will the Arizona Cardinals do? We don't have to wait long to find out.
