Visiting Metro Market in Shorewood will feel a lot more legendary on Saturday, May 18, when NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice will visit the store to promote his energy drink that recently became available in Wisconsin.

Rice, who won three Super Bowl titles with the San Francisco 49ers, will visit the store starting at 11 a.m. to take photos and provide autographed cards to the first 150 fans who purchase his G.O.A.T. Fuel Sports Energy Drink, according to a May 13 news release.

Rice created G.O.A.T. Fuel (G.O.A.T. stands for 'Greatest Of All Time') with his family, according to the release, which described the company as "a lifestyle brand focused on bringing health-forward products and a G.O.A.T. mindset to consumers."

"We believe the term G.O.A.T. shouldn’t be reserved only just for athletes but anyone striving to be great," the release said.

The release specified that no other autographs, including those on items brought in, will be allowed.

Metro Market Shorewood is located at 4075 N. Oakland Ave.

G.O.A.T. Fuel is part of a beverage program at Metro Market and Pick ‘n Save stores, called “Thirst for Something New,” where shoppers decide which items make it to store shelves. Rice's beverage, along with other items that are part of the program, can be found in the beverage aisle and near the endcaps of the frozen and dairy aisles.
