Two York/Adams golfers earned silver and twelve total made the cut for states after the District 3 championships concluded Saturday at Briarwood (2A) and Honey Run (3A).

Delone Catholic's Kat Keller finished with a 163 over two rounds to earn second place in girls' Class 2A, three shots behind champion Erica Gerner from Hamburg. Oliva Kury of York Catholic was one shot behind Keller for the bronze.

After leading the boys' Class 3A tournament, Lane Krosse settled for second, shooting a 74 in round 2 for a two-day total of 143. He finished two strokes behind champ Chase Yenser of Daniel Boone. YAIAA golfers took spots 4 through 8.

From Day 1: 19 YAIAA golfers advanced to the second round

Districts and Lane Krosse continue to go hand-in-hand.

The Dallastown senior fired a 3-under par 69 at Honey Run Golf Club to lead the District 3 Class 3A boys' golf tournament by one stroke over Central Dauphin's Joey Sembrot and Daniel Boone's Chase Yenser.

Krosse won the district title last year after firing rounds of 70 and 75 at Briarwood Golf Club to win by two strokes.

He was one of 10 YAIAA golfers to advance to Saturday's second round of the Class 3A tournament.

Littlestown's Zyan Herr, the top Class 2A finisher in the league tournament, missed Saturday's football game against York County Tech because the senior was one of three York-Adams golfers to reach the second round.

Three golfers advanced in each class of the girls' tournament.

Play concludes Saturday with Class 2A golfers at Briarwood and Class 3A at Honey Run.
