NBA Twitter reacts to Nets surviving at home in win over Pacers

The Brooklyn Nets seemed to be off to a perfect start early on Halloween night against the Indiana Pacers, dominating the first quarter en route to opening up a 24-point lead in the second. Yet the much-needed victory didn’t come easily from there.

Without Ben Simmons in the lineup, who was ruled out hours before the game due to knee soreness, the Nets surrendered their huge advantage in the second half, as the Pacers made a big run at the end of the third and eventually tied the game at 100-100 with 6:54 left in the game.

The Pacers withstood a Nets run and had a chance to tie the game again with a minute to play, but Joe Harris’ clutch defense on Tyrese Haliburton, and a Kyrie Irving floater at the other end gave the Nets the insurance they needed.

Here’s what analysts and players said after Monday’s win.
