In an effort to help protect the health and safety of fans amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the NBA has officially begun selling cloth face coverings featuring all 30 teams in adult and youth sizes. You can shop coverings for all 12 WNBA teams as well. Currently available for pre-sale, the $15 masks are manufactured in the United States and will ship no later than May 1.

Proceeds from the masks are going toward two great organizations. Per the NBA, revenue made from the coverings will be donated to Feeding America and Second Harvest Canada. Furthermore, Fanatics promises to donate one face covering for every face covering purchased.

Feeding America is the largest hunger-relief non-profit in the country, providing meals to more than 40 million people each year via a network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs.

Second Harvest is the largest food rescue organization in Canada, capturing an excess of food before it ends up in landfills, resulting in longterm environmental issues.

While the masks allow for breathability, the NBA Store warns that it’s not a medical device and recommend that healthcare professionals not use this product in a healthcare/clinical environment. A cloth face mask will not protect you from getting virus, although the CDC recommends that coverings help prevent the virus from spreading if you’re in a public space.

“CDC is additionally advising the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.”

You can find masks for all 30 franchises over on the NBA Store, but we’ve listed some of the more popular cities below.
