NBA notebook: Iguodala returns for Game 3

Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala returned to action in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the host Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

Iguodala, who missed the previous six games due to a bone bruise in his left knee, entered near the midway point of the first quarter.

Iguodala was injured in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals against the Houston Rockets. He practiced each of the past two days to move closer to a return. The 34-year-old veteran is averaging 7.9 points and 4.9 rebounds this postseason. He was the 2015 NBA Finals MVP when the Warriors outlasted the Cavaliers in six games.

--The Philadelphia 76ers ownership group, led by CEO Scott O'Neill, met Tuesday night to review findings of an investigation into the alleged Twitter actions of Bryan Colangelo, the team's president of basketball operations, and Colangelo's wife, according to a report from ESPN.

Colangelo's troubles began last week when TheRinger.com reported the existence of five anonymous Twitter accounts that had leaked information about the 76ers and taken shots at the team's coach and some of the players. The accounts also tweeted favorable opinions about Colangelo while denigrating Philadelphia's former GM, Sam Hinkie.

The original article produced circumstantial evidence that Colangelo was behind the burner accounts, but subsequent media reports pointed the finger at his wife, Barbara Bottini. According to ESPN, the law firm retained by the 76ers to investigate the matter interviewed Colangelo and his wife separately on Sunday and Monday.

--Deandre Ayton isn't short on confidence as the NBA draft nears, telling reporters after a pre-draft workout with the Phoenix Suns, who hold the No. 1 pick, that he wouldn't be working out for any other teams.

"I know I'm going No. 1," Ayton said, before continuing, "Nobody told me (I'll go first). ... That's just me. I think I deserve that. I've worked hard."

Ayton was named Pac-12 Player of the Year after averaging 20.1 points and 11.6 rebounds per game as a freshman with the Wildcats. He shot 61.2 percent from the field, blocked 66 shots and recorded a school-record 24 double-doubles. Ayton described the possibility of playing alongside Devin Booker on the Suns as "Shaq and Kobe 2.0."

--Anonymous NBA referees were set to interact with fans via Twitter during Game 3 of the NBA Finals in an effort to provide a real-time look at the point of view of the officials during the contest.

The interactions were to take place via the National Basketball Referees' Association account, featuring the hashtag #RefWatchParty. Responding referees were not to be publicly revealed.

During the playoffs, the NBA Referees account has chimed in with acknowledgments of missed fouls and explanations of other calls. NBA officiating has notably come under fire this season, from both the players and fans alike.
