MSU basketball reportedly to play Oakland at Breslin Center in late December

The annual rivalry between Michigan State and Oakland will reportedly take place again this upcoming season.

Tony Paul of The Detroit News tweeted on Tuesday evening that he expects Michigan State to again host in-state rival Oakland this upcoming season on December 22 at the Breslin Center. According to Paul, the matchup between the Spartans and Grizzlies was originally planned to be played at Little Caesars Arena but will now be moved to East Lansing, Mich. with Michigan State expected to play Baylor there on December 16.

This will mark the 21st meeting between Michigan State and Oakland, with the Spartans winning all 20 of the previous matchups. The Spartans beat Oakland last year in late December by the score of 67-54.
