MOUNTAINEER ROUNDUP: Eastern's high-octane offenses earn multiple wins

Dec. 11—Big Blue has been lighting up the scoreboard.

Eastern Oklahoma State College men's and women's basketball battled in four games last week, earning four wins as the Mountaineers and Lady Mountaineers scored more than 390 points combined.

The Lady Mountaineers earned a pair of wins over Dallas College-Richland and Labette Community College. Asia Jonson led Eastern with 21 points in the Dec. 6 game against Dallas College, while Mackenzie Heeke led with 21 points in the Dec. 9 victory over Labette.

Kaylynn Whelan also earned her first Region 2 Player of the Week honors.

The Mountaineers recorded two wins over Strength N' Motion and Nationwide Academy. Marque Wilkerson led Eastern with 16 points in the Dec. 6 game against Strength N' Motion, while Jackson Greene led the Mountaineers with 19 points in the Dec. 9 win over Nationwide.
