One of the Mount Union women's track and field team's all-time greats had a great weekend on the national stage.

Kenadee Wayt won two titles, helped set two school records and had four All-American finishes at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Pittsford, New York. Her two national championships increased her career total to a Purple Raiders women's-record three.

Wayt won the 200-meter dash in a school-record 23.95 seconds and the 400 in 54.33. She ran on the 1,600 relay with Kennady Gibbins, Madison Miles and Mary Mason that finished third in a school-record 3:42.50. Wayt, Gibbins, Miles and Lauren Roncone also helped the 400 relay finish eighth.

Mount Union's other national championship was a record setter

Matt McBride, Jared Storm, Tyler Gill and Justin Knoch broke the NCAA Division III record in the 1,600 relay with a winning time of 3:07.24. McBride took the lead with 20 meters remaining and helped lead the relay to its second straight outdoor national title.

McBride was runner-up in the 400 in a school-record 46.05. Storm, Gill, Tylir Shannon and Andrew McVicker ran on the 400 relay that came in fifth and earned All-American honors. Storm also was an All-American in the 200 where he finished sixth.

Walsh wraps up season at NCAA Division II nationals

Walsh had three first team All-American finishes at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships in Pueblo, Colorado.

Kelsey Hartsock finished fourth in the women's pole vault with a jump of 13 feet, 5.25 inches. Gabe Miller also was fourth in the men's discus with a throw of 177-7.

Dominic Nutter came in eighth in the men's hammer throw with a throw of 202-2.
