Mohawk Valley football's top Week 6 football players and games

Here's how Saturday's football action unfolded:

Westmoreland/Oriskany 30, Herkimer 21

HERKIMER - Jack Williams scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter Friday when the Westmoreland/Oriskany Bulldogs came from behind to beat the Herkimer Magicians 30-21.

Westmoreland/Oriskany (3-4, 2-4 D-1) had led 17-14 at halftime but Herkimer (2-5, 2-4 D-1) took a 21-17 lead in the third quarter when Zach Petucci ran 10 yards for a touchdown and Kyle Carney kicked the extra point.

The Bulldogs went back in front when Williams caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Cameron Rautenstrauch. Williams later ran 51 yards for another score.

Williams ran for 117 yards on 14 carries. Rautenstrauch's touchdown pass came on the only pass he threw and completed, but he did catch a six-yard touchdown pass thrown by Dylan Williams who also threw to Jayden Luten. Dylan Williams completed eight of nine passes and ran 16 times for 62 yards.

Petucci had two touchdown runs for Herkimer and Emmanuel Johnson had one.

Herkimer travels to Beaver River to finish the regular season Friday. Westmoreland/Oriskany plays at home Saturday against Pulaski.

Dolgeville 38, Pulaski 20

PULASKI - Trevor Borst and Grayson Eggleston each scored two touchdowns Saturday as Dolgeville's Blue Devils defeated Pulaski's Blue Devils 38-20 for their fourth consecutive victory.

Dolgeville (4-2, 4-2 D-1) led 32-0 through three quarters before Pulaski (2-5, 1-5 D-1) put its first points on the scoreboard.

Eggleston got the scoring started with a touchdown off a blocked punt, and Cade Mosher threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Bryce Mosher before the first quarter was over. Borst scored on runs covering nine and 43 yards in the second and third quarters. Eggleston ran for a touchdown after Sam Lavere scored the first Pulaski touchdown on one of two Collin McGrath scoring passes in the fourth quarter.

Dolgeville hosts Mt. Markham for Saturday's regular season finale. Pulaski plays at Westmoreland/Oriskany.

Central Valley Academy 35, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill 0

ILION - Brady Moreau completed all five of his passes Friday with three of them going for Connor Dempsey touchdowns in a 35-0 win over the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils.

Logan Hewitt added 193 yards and two rushing touchdowns on 10 carries for Central Valley Academy (5-2, 3-1 B East), winner of its third consecutive game with a perfect 5-0 record at home at the Diss Athletic Complex.

The Thunder took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a Moreau-to-Dempsey pass then scored 22 points in the second to open a 28-0 halftime lead.

Moreau's touchdowns covered 15, seven and six yards while Hewitt ran 55 and 19 yards for touchdowns three minutes apart in the second quarter.

The shutout was the first for Central Valley Academy since a 21-0 win over Chittenango in 2019.

Charlie Foster led Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (1-6, 0-4 B East) with 77 rushing yards on 17 carries. He also had 12 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.

Central Valley Academy plays at home Friday against Oneida while Vernon-Verona-Sherrill finishes the regular season with a game at New Hartford.

General Brown 66, Little Falls 7

DEXTER - The General Brown Lions wrapped up Section III's Class C East league title Friday with a 66-7 win over Little Falls.

The win completed a perfect run through the five-team league for General Brown (5-1, 4-0 C East), also the section's reigning Class C champion.

Aiden McManaman threw two touchdown passes and ran for one score while Drew Pauly ran for two touchdowns for the Lions.

Pauly ran for 71 yards on 10 carries while Brendon Lee led the team with 114 yards on 11 carries, McManaman had 106 on 10, and Dougas Jarvie had 95 on six. Jarvie and Lee each ran for one touchdown, and McManaman was six for 10 passing for 136 yards.

Little Falls (1-6, 0-3 C East) scored on a kickoff return after Pauly's second touchdown made the score 26-0 in the second quarter.

General Brown finishes the regular season with a visit to Indian River Friday. Little Falls plays at home Friday against Lowville Academy.

Morrisville-Eaton 34, South Lewis 0

TURIN - Five different players scored touchdowns for Morrisville-Eaton Saturday in the unbeaten Warriors' 34-0 shutout victory over the South Lewis Falcons.

Levi Doroshenko ran for one Morrisville-Eaton touchdown and passed to Dylan Prentice for another while Carter Highers, Mason Marland and Austin Zaleski each ran for one touchdown.

Morrisville-Eaton (6-0, 5-0 Eight Player North-West), the league champion for Section III's eight player North-West Division finishes the regular season Friday with a home game against Frankfort-Schuyler, a rematch from last year's sectional final. South Lewis (0-6, 0-5 Eight Player North-West) plays at Section IV Greene Friday.

LEVI DOROSHENKO, Morrisville-Eaton - Passed for one touchdown and ran for another.

GRAYSON EGGLESTON, Dolgeville - Scored one touchdown on special teams and another on offense.

ALEX HOOLE, Holland Patent - Caught an 80-yard touchdown pass and returned a kickoff 72 yards for a touchdown that tied the score in the fourth quarter.
