Which MLB players would you cast in 'Star Wars'?
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Baseball’s annual Winter Meetings happened this week at the Walt Disney World Resort, but that’s not even close to being the biggest thing that happened in the Disney world this week. The “Star Wars” saga returns to millions of eager fans Thursday night with “The Last Jedi.”
The combination of those two things led us to a natural question: Which baseball players would we cast in “Star Wars?”
Who is MLB’s Luke Skywalker? Who’s the R2-D2? Chewbacca? Yoda? Who’s Darth Vader?
We asked some baseball-centric folks at the Winter Meetings and got some great answers. Among our panel was Kevin Millar of MLB Network’s “Intentional Talk,” Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo, ex-player and current Sirius XM/MLB Network analyst Cliff Floyd and the duo known as Cespedes BBQ from MLB.com’s Cut4.
