Mississippi State women's basketball's Jasmine Brown-Hagger enters transfer portal | Source

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State women's basketball guard Jasmine Brown-Hagger has entered the transfer portal, a source with knowledge of her decision told the Clarion Ledger on Thursday.

The source requested anonymity because Brown-Hagger hasn't made her decision public.

Brown-Hagger's freshman season came to an end March 28 when MSU was eliminated by Penn State in the quarterfinals of the WBIT − a second-tier tournament behind March Madness. She appeared in 33 games this season, though she averaged only 8.8 minutes per contest.

She scored 2.1 points per game while collecting 1.5 rebounds. Brown-Hagger's best outing came in the first round of the WBIT when she scored a season-high 17 points against Georgia Tech.

Brown-Hagger is a product of Shorewood, Illinois, who attended Example Academy. She was the No. 54 recruit in the 2023 class, according to espnW.

Brown-Hagger is the second MSU player to enter the portal. She joins forward Nyayongah Gony who entered the portal before the WBIT, according to coach Sam Purcell.
