Mississippi State basketball live score updates vs. Murray State: Bulldogs face Racers
STARKVILLE — Mississippi State basketball returns to Humphrey Coliseum on Wednesday for a matchup against Murray State. It's MSU's first home game since a resume-staining loss against Southern on Dec. 3.
The Bulldogs (7-2) had a week off after the upset loss before getting back in the win column on Saturday against Tulane in Atlanta. MSU scored more than 100 points in the matchup for the first time since 2018, igniting the offense heading into the final stretch of nonconference play.
Mississippi State welcomes Murray State (3-5, 1-1 Missouri Valley Conference) to Starkville for the first meeting between the programs since 2007. The Bulldogs are 7-2 all-time against the Racers.
Steve Prohm is in the second season of his second stint at Murray State. He led the Racers to a 17-15 record last season. His first stint (2011-15) spanned four seasons and saw him lead the Racers to one NCAA Tournament appearance before six seasons at Iowa State.
