Michigan State football long snapper Jude Pedrozo enters NCAA transfer portal

A week after Michigan State signed a long snapper, the man who currently fills that role is on his way out the door.

Sophomore Jude Pedrozo, a walk-on who has appeared in every game since arriving on campus in 2019, entered the NCAA transfer portal Wednesday.

Pedrozo's departure comes on the heels of Michigan State's successful recruitment of Hank Pepper, a two-star specialist from Arizona.

Pedrozo is the 12th Michigan State player to submit his name in the transfer database since Nov. 16, as head coach Mel Tucker has begun the process of reshaping the roster in his first year.

The Westerville, Ohio native logged 191 snaps during his tenure in East Lansing.

On Tuesday, another MSU walk-on, running back/returner Andre Welch entered the portal. He played mostly in 2018.
