Game notes: The Michigan Panthers play their first road game of the United Football League regular season by paying a visit to the XFL Conference's San Antonio Brahmas in Week 4. The Brahmas are one of three teams in the four-team conference tied with a 2-1 record, while the Panthers are second in the USFL Conference, one game behind the 3-0 Birmingham Stallions. The Brahmas have scored 71 points and allowed 62 compared to the Panthers' 65 points scored and 56 allowed.

San Antonio employs former Detroit Lions second-round pick Teez Tabor at cornerback, former Central Michigan quarterback Quinten Dormady and Western Michigan cornerback Darius Phillips (Dearborn Robichaud). Chase Garbers (California) starts at quarterback for the Brahmas, and has six touchdown passes to one interception with a 70.8% completion percentage (75-for-106) and averages 195.3 passing yards per game.

The Panthers played their first three games at Ford Field in Detroit, including last week in a 34-20 win over the Houston Roughnecks behind their best offensive performance so far. Panthers quarterback E.J. Perry scored two touchdowns and completed 16 of 19 passes for 208 yards and one touchdown.
