The Wild Enduro Racing Line tire is one of Michelin's best mountain bike tires, famous for its distinctive blue and yellow sidewalls. The French brand's popular enduro tire is ridden by some of the best enduro MTB racers around, including Australian Sam Hill, and riders from the Nukeproof-SRAM Factory Racing Team and the Lapierre Overvolt Team. Michelin has now added the new E-Wild tire to its MTB tire lineup.

As the name suggests, the E-Wild tire is specifically designed for e-Enduro riders looking for the best e-MTB tire performance. The E-Wild tires are packed with all the latest Michelin technology that includes casing construction, tread pattern design, and compound formulations. All aimed to give the best e-MTB-specific tire performance from optimal puncture and pinch protection to improved grip, control, and speed.

Coming in a Front and Rear specific tread pattern the E-Wild also benefits from the brand's Magi-X compound, which they say delivers extra grip in all conditions. There are two tubeless-ready models named Racing Line and Competition Line, Racing Line has blue and yellow sidewalls and Competition Line has White. I had a look over the specs to see what the E-Wild Race Line tires are all about.

Michelin E-Wild Front

Developed with input from the Nukeproof-SRAM Factory Racing Team and the Lapierre Overvolt Team, both Front and Rear versions are ready for the most extreme enduro racing. As you would expect they draw inspiration from the brand's renowned Enduro tire range. Michelin E-Wild Front has a tread pattern claimed to give unbeatable confidence, grip, and speed.

There are two versions of the Front, the E-Wild Front Racing Line sized in either 29x2.4 or 29x2.6 choices, and the E-Wild Front Competition Line sized in 27.5x2.6, 27.5x2.8 or 29x2.6. Both tires have slightly different attributes with the Racing Line version having better grip over the Competition Line, with that Competition version trumping its sibling with better speed and matching the claimed life span. Pricing varies from £79.99 to £89.99 depending on version and sizing.

Michelin E-Wild Rear

The E-Wild Rear tire has much of the same attributes as the Front version with the same puncture and pinch protection. The Rear has been engineered to deliver maximum traction even on the toughest of climbs and plenty of grip and protection on the way down.

There are also two versions of the Rear, the E-Wild Rear Racing Line sized in either 27.5x2.6 and 29x2.6, and the E-Wild Rear Competition Line sized in 27.5x2.6, 27.5x2.8 or 29x2.6.

Different performance benefits depend on the model chosen with the E-Wild Rear Racing Line delivering the best grip and rolling resistance, and the E-Wild Rear Competition Line having a claimed better lifespan and overall speed. Like the Front pricing varies from £79.99 to £89.99 depending on version and sizing. US and EU pricing TBC.

All models and sizes of the Michelin E-Wild Tires are in stock and available now from Silverfish UK and bricks and mortar bike shops.
