Right-hander Denyi Reyes, who is making his first start of the season.

The 26-year-old has appeared in five games for the Mets this season, and he's pitched very well. The righty has not allowed an earned run in his 6.1 innings of work, giving up just three hits while striking out seven and walking two.

Who is starting for the Braves?

Spencer Strider, who has been outstanding for the Braves this season, pitching to a 1.80 ERA with 49 strikeouts and 11 walks over his 30.0 innings of work.

Strider, who finished second in NL Rookie of the Year voting last season, was nearly unhittable in his last start, as he gave up just a pair of hits over 8.0 shutout innings against Miami, striking out 13 Marlins without a walk.

Upcoming schedule

Game two will see Tylor Megill face Charlie Morton.

The Mets head to Detroit for a three-game series with the Tigers, starting on Tuesday night at 6:40 p.m. on SNY.
