Mets' Davis sustains oblique injury

New York Mets first baseman Ike Davis suffered a strained right oblique on a swing Saturday night and left the game against the Washington Nationals in the third inning.

Davis was injured while hitting a sacrifice fly to left field with the Mets leading 1-0. He grabbed his side and then left the field. There's a good chance that Davis could miss the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old Davis is hitting .206 with nine home runs and 32 RBIs in 102 games this season.
