Memphis Grizzlies' John Konchar records epic block on Lakers' Anthony Davis in Game 2

John Konchar just put his stamp on the Memphis Grizzlies-Los Angeles Lakers series in Game 2. The most unlikely candidate to make a defensive play at the rim just halted one of the NBA's top stars at the rim.

After Lakers' forward Anthony Davis rolled pass Dillon Brooks toward the basket, Konchar, who is 6-foot-5, met Davis, who is 6-10, at the rim with one hand. Konchar denied the Lakers' big man for the momentum-changing defensive play that helped the Grizzlies build an 8-0 run with 5:34 left the first half.

Two minutes later in the game, he stuffed Davis again at the rim.

Konchar's blocks on Davis were one of the many highlight plays the Grizzlies had in the first half against the Lakers in Game 2. Brooks threw down a one-handed slam in transition to start the scoring, while David Roddy and Luke Kennard hit back-to-back 3's in six seconds in the first quarter.

Add Konchar's big defensive plays as the latest to shift momentum away from the Lakers in the first half.
