Many’s Tylen Singleton makes his college choice, opts for LSU

Many’s Tylen Singleton, one of the country’s top 2024 defensive backs, verbally committed to LSU on Saturday evening.

“100% committed… I would like to thankall the coaches for recruiting me and giving me to opportunity but I will be staying home!! #GeauxTigers #4louisiana,” Singleton posted on his Twitter account.

Singleton had recently trimmed his choices to LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, TCU and Texas A&M. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder said he plans to graduate in December and enroll early.

A four-year starter for the Tigers, Singleton has led Many to two LHSAA state titles, including the 2022 crown, from his defensive secondary position. He teamed with fellow senior Swazy Carhill and USC signee Tackett Curtis to give the Tigers one of the best defenses in the state last season.

He works out twice daily, once in Many and once in Shreveport at D1 Training.

Recruited by most SEC schools, the amiable Singleton is a top 10 Louisiana recruit and top 15 defensive back nationally per 247Sports. Last season he had three picks and 78 tackles with two sacks as Many (14-0) cruised to the LHSAA Non-Select Division III title.
