Nine rookies made the 53-player roster, eight draft picks (Harrison, Strange, Lacy, Bigsby, Abdullah, Antonio Johnson, Braswell, Washington and one undrafted rookie, Cooks.
Four rookies are on the practice squad, draft picks Hallett and Parish and undrafted players Rourke and Dequan Jackson.
Two rookies, Hodges and Miller, are on injured reserve.
In year two of the Doug Pederson era as the Jaguars coach,14 players are on the active roster who were on the team when the 2021 season ended, with another four players on injured reserve or suspension lists.
Seven projected opening-game starters next week started the final game of the 2021 season: Lawrence, Little, Bartch and Shatley on offense; and Robertson-Harris, Allen and Tyson Campbell on defense.
The current 53-man roster has 38 players from Power Five college conferences, led by the SEC with 16. There are eight players each from the ACC and Big Ten, four from the Big 12 and two from the PAC-12. Of non-Power Five conferences, the AAC has the most Jags with four.
