LSU offers 4-star cornerback from Jacksonville
The Tigers are working to bulk up the secondary in the 2024 recruiting class, and they recently offer 2024 cornerback Jon Mitchell.
Mitchell is a 6-foot, 170-pound, four-star cornerback from Jacksonville, Florida, where he plays for Mandarin High School. Football genes run deep in Mitchell’s family. He has two brothers that play college football at the Division I level. Nic Mitchell, who plays linebacker at Mississippi State, and Kris Mitchell, who plays wide receiver at Florida International.
Mitchell currently has no Crystal Ball projections and there are no current favorites per On3.
Film Analysis: Mitchell can fly. His top-end speed is incredible. At 00:37 in his film, he is covering a different receiver across the middle when the opposing quarterback hits another guy 15 yards downfield from where Mitchell is. Mitchell flies down the field and catches the guy before he can score.
