LSU football: Here's what new special teams coordinator John Jancek is getting paid

BATON ROUGE - New LSU football special teams coordinator and outside linebackers coach John Jancek has signed a two-year deal worth $350,000 per season before incentives, according to his term sheet.

LSU released Jancek's contract information to The Advertiser through a public records request Wednesday.

Jancek was promoted from his position as a defensive analyst after special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator Brian Polian was moved to an off-the-field role this offseason. According to Polian's Twitter bio, he has become an Assistant Athletic Director and LSU Football's General Manager.

Jancek has never served as a special teams coordinator before in his career but previously was the defensive coordinator at Tennessee, Georgia and Cincinnati. He also served as coach Brian Kelly's defensive coordinator at Grand Valley State and Central Michigan.

Every member of Kelly's on-field staff has contracts concluding at the end of the 2024 campaign, with the only expectation being offensive line coach Brad Davis, whose deal runs out in March of next year.
