Lacy joins rotation-regular running backs Emani Bailey and Montrell Johnson Jr., starting right guard O’Cyrus Torrence and starting cornerback Mekhi Garner as high-profile Cajuns who’ve entered the portal since coach Billy Napier left UL for Florida after the team’s Sun Belt Conference championship win over Appalachian State.

Napier was replaced by tight ends coach/co-offensive coordinator Michael Desormeaux before UL’s New Orleans Bowl win over Marshall.

Kam Waites, a freshman offensive lineman, also entered the portal and already has joined Napier at Florida.

Defensive coordinator Patrick Toney, running backs coach Jabbar Juluke and offensive line assistant coach Darnell Stapleton also have followed Napier to Florida, as have several prominent members of UL’s recruiting and strength and conditioning departments.
