A look at Oklahoma City's boys high school basketball Fab 10 rankings for Feb. 15

Oklahoma high school basketball's regular season has now come to an end, which means the postseason has arrived. After two losses from Crossings Christian and Piedmont last week, how will that affect this week's Fab 10 rankings?

Each week, The Oklahoman’s Jordan Davis takes a look at the top high school boys basketball teams in the Oklahoma City area.

Here are the rankings for Feb. 15:

1. Dale (23-2)

Last week: 1

Up next: Saturday vs. Mounds

What to know: The Pirates have continued to cement themselves as the best team in the state and have yet to lose a game in 2024. OU commit Dayton Forsythe, his brother, Denton, and Levi Kelly have led Dale's nine-game win streak as the Pirates eye its third consecutive Class 2A title.

2. Edmond North (18-3)

Last week: 2

Up next: Feb. 22 vs. Lawton Eisenhower

What to know: Edmond North bounced back after falling to Moore last week for its first district loss in nearly two years. Chiante' Tramble, Dylan Warlick and Bryce Potts dominated competition in the past week, defeating Capitol Hill by 61 and Piedmont by 48 points.

3. Douglass (13-4)

Last week: 3

Up next: Saturday vs. ASTEC Charter

What to know: The Trojans have only lost games against out of state competition this season. Yet, they remain undefeated against Oklahoma high school teams over the last two seasons. Jaden Nickens scored 25 points last week against Star Spencer as Douglass has now won 11 of its last 12 games.

4. Midwest City (20-3)

Last week: 4

Up next: Feb. 22 vs. Western Heights

What to know: The Bombers have lost just one game since December and are currently riding an eight-game win streak heading into the postseason. The same factors have stood out for Midwest City as Oklahoma State commit Carlsheon Young and guard Roy Henderson continue to show up grandly.

5. Oklahoma Christian School (20-2)

Last week: 6

Up next: Feb. 22 vs. Lindsay/Comanche winner

What to know: The Saints, led by three-star big man Luke Gray, have been on a tear all season long. Kansas Wesleyan commit Carson Jones and guard Kyler Brown have also been pivotal in OCS' games in 2024, as the Saints have won 15 of its last 16 games.

6. Choctaw (18-4)

Last week: 7

Up next: Feb. 22 vs. U.S. Grant

What to know: The Yellowjackets continue to prove why they can compete with the best teams Class 6A has to offer. Seminole State commit Ja'Mon Hyman and guard Camden Hyman helped extend Choctaw's win streak to six games after district wins over Jenks and Ponca city last week.

7. Norman (18-4)

Last week: 8

Up next: Feb. 22 vs. Capitol Hill

What to know: The Tigers continue to roll following wins over Lawton Eisenhower and Lawton last week. Independence Community College commit Trashaun Combs-Pierce has spearheaded a Norman team that currently rides a 13-game win streak dating back to the Bishop McGuinness Classic.

8. Moore (16-5)

Last week: 9

Up next: Feb. 22 vs. Northwest Classen at Lawton

What to know: The Lions added to its win streak with key district wins over Mustang and Putnam City North last week. Moore is rolling behind the play of Darian Grant and Tristan Hankins while winning 12 consecutive games under Gregg Hardin.

9. Carl Albert (19-4)

Last week: NR

Up next: Feb. 22 vs. Noble

What to know: The Titans have lost just one game in the new year and are currently on a seven-game win streak. Carl Albert's tandem of brothers in Jayden and Quincy Hopkins helped lead a 17-point comeback win over Crossings Christian last Thursday.

10. Guthrie (20-3)

Last week: NR

Up next: Feb. 22 vs. Guymon

What to know: Guthrie slides into the tail-end of the Fab 10 rankings following huge district wins over El Reno and Crossings Christian. Nathan Pennypacker has the Bluejays rolling in his first season under helm as Guthrie will host its first regional playoff game in nearly 15 years next Thursday.

Outside looking in

Deer Creek (18-5): The Antlers remain outside of the Fab 10, but have bounced back from key district losses over the past few weeks. Deer Creek defeated Mustang and Piedmont in the past week by more than double digits.

Crossings Christian (16-6): Following key district losses to Carl Albert and Guthrie last week, the Knights have fallen out of the Fab 10 altogether. Yet, don't count out its tandem of Cal Furnish in Cam Parker come playoff time.

Piedmont (16-7): The Wildcats fall back out of the Fab 10 following blowout losses to Edmond North and Deer Creek.

North Rock Creek (19-3): The Cougars have been on a tear over the last few weeks. They're led by Jordan McClain Jr. and have won eight of its last 10 games.
