LOOK: Fans react to news of Alabama moving on from Eli Gold
Eli Gold has been the voice of Alabama football for the last 35 years, but that run has come to an end, as Chris Stewart of the Crimson Tide Sports Network is expected to take over the radio broadcast.
The news comes just over a month after legendary head coach Nick Saban announced his retirement, but Gold made it clear that he is not retiring. It seems as if the university has decided to move on from Gold beginning with the 2024 season.
Fans were quick to take to social media to share their thoughts on the news and remember their favorite moments from his time in the booth.
