Longhorns land commitment from four-star running back

It was a huge night for Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns as they closed out the spring session with the annual Orange-White spring game. Not only did they see the likes of Quinn Ewers, Isaiah Neyor, and Roschon Johnson put on a show, but the night ended with two commitments.

The first one came from four-star running back Tre Wisner, who tweeted the news on Saturday night. The DeSoto product was being pursued by the likes of Texas, Oklahoma, Auburn, Arkansas, and Baylor. It was running back coach Tashard Choice and the Horns that ultimately won out. Wisner became the fourth overall commit to the 2022 class and the first on offense.

They later added another offensive player following the spring game. Wisner will join a room that likely loses Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson following the season. But they will still have plenty of talent in Austin at running back.

As spring football comes to a close and focus shifts to recruiting and the summer conditioning programs, the Horns closed it out with a bang.
