Long ball: Lincoln baseball star Myles Bailey is your Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week
The polls are closed and we have our final winner of the Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week.
After a strong week of performances in the regional tournament for Lincoln Baseball, star senior Myles Bailey has won the final Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week honor of the 2023-24 season.
Winning for his performances in the Trojans regional quarterfinal and semifinal, Bailey went 2-for-3 in Lincoln's 1-0 win over Orange Park in the 5A regional quarterfinals, and then went 2-for-2, with 3 RBI, scoring twice and hitting a home run in a 7-1 win over Escambia in 5A regional semifinals, booking a spot for the Trojans in the regional final, which the team eventually won.
Congratulations to Bailey and finalist Elizabeth Dowdy (Maclay track and field), Patrick Koon (Leon track and field), Cade Swart (Chiles track and field), Micahi Danzy (Florida High track and field), Charley Butler (Wakulla softball), Skylar Young (North Florida Christian softball) and Noah Miller (North Florida Christian baseball)!
The Tallahassee Democrat/Big Bend Preps runs an Athlete of the Week contest every week, recognizing one standout high school athlete. Voting for AOTW opens on Monday and closes on Thursday.
