Play Ball: Lincoln softball's Olivia Hernandez is your Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week
The polls are closed and the votes are in, we have another new winner of the Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week.
Taking home nearly 38% of the votes, Lincoln softball senior Olivia Hernandez is your Campus USA Credit Union Athlete of the Week winner for March 18-23.
Hernandez wins the honor for her 3-for-5, four RBI performance against Leon, helping the Trojans beat the Lions 10-8 to snap Leon's undefeated start to the season. The senior and Gulf Coast State College commit has been a bright spot for Lincoln, hitting .429 with 10 RBI this season.
Congratulations to Hernandez and finalists Micahi Danzy (Florida High Track), Noah Miller (North Florida Christian baseball), Bryce Davis (Leon track and field), William Bulloch (Leon Lacrosse), Journee Belcher (Rickards track and field), Me'Yauney Peoples (Rickards track and field) and Rance Grace (Lincoln track and field)!
The Tallahassee Democrat/Big Bend Preps runs an Athlete of the Week contest every week, recognizing one standout high school athlete. Voting for AOTW opens on Monday and closes on Thursday.
