Logansport High School athletics department warns of scam

Jul. 25—Logansport High School athletic director Brian Strong released a statement warning of a scam affecting supporters of the Logansport athletics.

Someone has been contacting local businesses saying they represent the Logansport High School athletic department and requesting donations for sponsorship opportunities.

Strong said the department will never ask someone to represent them. If a business is approached for an official sponsorship it will be by a member of the athletic department team and most likely in person, he said.

Strong said those who doubt the legitimacy of a sponsorship opportunity may call the athletic office for confirmation at 574-753-2250.
