Live score updates: Vanderbilt baseball vs. Oregon State in Corvallis Regional final

CORVALLIS, Ore. — After a loss to open the Corvallis Regional, Vanderbilt baseball got back on track with two straight blowouts, first of New Mexico State, then of San Diego. The Commodores advanced to the regional final for the fifth straight year and 12th in the last 13 tournaments.

Vanderbilt (38-22) will face Oregon State (46-15), needing to win twice to advance to super regionals (8 p.m. CT, ESPN2). The winner of the Corvallis Regional will face Auburn or UCLA in the super regionals.

Should the Commodores win Sunday night, they will face the Beavers again in a winner-take-all game Monday. If they lose, the will be eliminated. Vanderbilt has advanced to super regionals in seven of the last eight tournaments.

Vanderbilt used just two pitchers in each of its three regional games. Nick Maldonado threw 114 pitches in 7⅔ innings against the Toreros, while Nelson Berkwich finished it out. Every reliever except Berkwich and possibly Brett Hansen is likely to be available in the regional final.
