Game recap: Indiana Pacers take down New York Knicks in Game 3 of Eastern Conference semis

Down 2-0 in the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Indiana Pacers head to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 3 against the New York Knicks in the NBA playoffs.

Earlier today, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle was fined $35,000 for comments about the officials after Game 2. Heading into Game 3, New York will be without OG Anunoby, who suffered a hamstring strain in the second half of Game 2.

Final: Indiana Pacers get back in series with Game 3 win over Knicks

Indiana sealed the win with two back-to-back free throws from Aaron Nesmith.

Tyrese Haliburton had 35 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Pascal Siakam scored 26 points and and grabbed 7 rebounds. Myles Turner put up 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Pacers get a win and trail the Knicks in the series 2-1. Game 4 is on Sunday.

Josh Hart made one of two free throw attempts. We are tied at 102-102 with 2:26 left. Andrew Nembhard scored after Myles Turner blocked Josh Hart. Jalen Brunson made one of two free throws at 1:45. Pascal Siakam made a shot with 54 seconds left after a goaltend was called on the Knicks. With 42 seconds left, Jalen Brunson hit a step-back 3-pointer. Tied up at 106-106. With 17.1 left, Nembhard drilled a 3.

Jalen Brunson gave the Knicks a 101-100 lead with a step-back jumper. At 3:30, Pascal Siakam made both free throw attempts to give Indiana a 102-101 lead.

Pascal Siakam tied the game at 99-99 with a free throw at 6:58. Tyrese Haliburton, who is still limping, had a big block against Donte DiVincenzo. At 5:42, Siakam made a free throw to give the Pacers a 100-99 lead. Indiana was down 9 points at one point in the fourth quarter.

Tyrese Haliburton cut into New York's lead with an and-1 at 9:25. Pacers trail 98-92. Haliburton scored 7 straight points (33 overall) with a basket at 7:42. It's a 2-point game.

Haliburton appears to be limping. Looks like he tweaked his right ankle.

Indiana was outscored in the third quarter, 32-22. New York scored 10 straight points late in the period. Donte DiVincenzo is on fire with 17 points in just the third quarter alone (32 total points in 32 minutes).

Jalen Brunson cut Indiana's lead to 79-77 with a basket. T.J. McConnell answered with a basket of his own, but Donte DiVincenzo hit a 3 to cut the Pacers' lead to 1 point. Obi Toppin extended Indiana's advantage to 83-80 at 3:15.

Brunson and DiVincenzo made back-to-back baskets to give the Knicks an 84-83 lead. At 2:11, Josh Hart gave New York a 4-point lead with a basket. It is the Knicks' largest lead of the night.

Tyrese Haliburton had 23 points and 5 3-pointers in the first half. Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam have 12 points each. Indiana is shooting 55% while New York is shooting 54%.

At 6:11, Myles Turner made a 3-pointer to give the Pacers a 46-38 lead. Jalen Brunson answered with a 3-pointer of his own. At 5:25, Brunson made another basket and was fouled by Andrew Nembhard in the process. Brunson made the free throw. Pacers up 46-44.

Alec Burks made both of his free throws at 5:06. The game is tied at 46-46. New York took a 49-46 lead at 4:10 with a 3-pointer from Burks. He has 10 points off the bench.

Myles Turner cut into the lead with two free throws at 3:52. Indiana took back the lead with a basket from Tyrese Haliburton at 3:17. He has 18 points. Indiana up 50-49.

Haliburton made another basket at 2:50 to give the Pacers a 3-point lead. At 2:19, Haliburton nailed a 3. He now has 23 points.

With Indiana up 1, Tyrese Haliburton hit a 3-pointer at 7:18. Miles McBride made a layup at 7:03. Haliburton responded with another 3 at 6:47. The Pacers are 6 for 12 from distance (Haliburton is 4 for 8).

Pascal Siakam picked up his third foul at 10:21. New York opened the quarter on a 6-2 run. Donte DiVincenzo made a layup to cut Indiana's lead to 31-28. T.J. McConnell made a layup on the ensuing possession, but DiVincenzo hit a 3 to cut it to 2.

McConnell made a jumper at 9:01. DiVincenzo responded with another basket. He has 15 points in 13 minutes.

Jalen Brunson returned at 4:09. Donte DiVincenzo hit back-to-back 3-pointers to cut Indiana's lead to 24-20 at 1:05. Pascal Siakam made a layup, which was followed by basket from Aaron Nesmith. Brunson is 1 for 5 with 2 points.

Jalen Brunson exited the game at 6:55, which is not usually something you see this early on. Precious Achiuwa threw away a pass and Ben Sheppard picked it up and turned that steal into a layup. Tyrese Haliburton followed that up with a basket at 5:28. On Indiana's next possession, Myles Turner drove the lane and made a layup.

Josh Hart made a layup at 4:11. Indiana is shooting 53% from the floor. New York is at 33%.

Josh Hart, who in February said he wouldn't step foot in Indiana unless the Knicks played at the Pacers, made a 3-pointer to open the game. Pascal Siakam responded with a layup to get the Pacers on the board.

Aaron Nasmith gave Indiana its first lead with a 3 at the 9:38 mark. Pacers are up 6-3. At 8:48, Tyrese Haliburton hit a 3-pointer of his own. After Siakam grabbed a rebound, Haliburton made another 3.
