Leprechauns fall to rival Kokomo

Mar. 15—LEBANON — The Lebanon Leprechauns search for their first win will go on for another day.

Visiting Kokomo pulled away with a big third quarter and topped the Leprechauns 130-104.

Lebanon fell to 0-4 on the season.

After falling behind by 12 early, the Leprechauns got back within 34-33 by the end of the first quarter.

The continued to hang close throughout the first half, with the visitors taking a seven-point lead into the locker room.

But the second half wasn't as kind for Lebanon.

The Bobkats jumped out to a 15-point lead by the media timeout and continued to push the lead up to 24 heading to the fourth quarter.

They lead by as many as 31 in the fourth quarter.

Lebanon committed 25 turnovers, leading to 30 Bobkat points. Lebanon scored 15 off 13 Bobkat turnovers.

Carter Skaggs led Lebanon with 20 points, hitting five 3-pointers. He added seven rebounds and five assists.

Ron Washington had 15 points, Zavier Turner had 13 and Dionte Raines had 12.

Joe Retic had 11 points and seven rebounds, with Alex Brown and Eron Harris having 10 points each.

Lebanon hosts the St. Louis Griffins on Friday, then the Medora Timberjacks on Sunday in a St. Patrick's Day showdown.

All Leprechaun home games are played at the new Hickory Junction Fieldhouse.
