Lenawee County high school sports roundup for May 13-18

The conclusion of the spring seasons are coming to a close, in fact track and field and lacrosse begin MHSAA postseason play this week.

Here's a look at Lenawee County sports for the week of May 13-18:

MONDAY

Baseball

Tecumseh at Adrian (DH)

The Maples took two from their SEC White rivals and clinched a second-straight league title in the process, winning 1-0 and 12-2.

Sean Parker tossed a one-hitter in Game 1, striking out seven and walking none in the process. Tecumseh's Tyler Clement was strong as well, giving up an unearned run, on two hits and two walks while striking out seven.

The Adrian bats woke up in Game 2, with 12 runs on 16 hits. Maverick Slavin went 3-for-3 with a home run and two doubles while Tyler Bruggeman, Tristan Hayes, Solomon Hiatt, DJ Ott and Joelden Griffin all had two hits and Julius Robichaud hit a double.

Hayes got the win while Logan Smith took the loss for Tecumseh. Max Bledsoe and Ramiro Perez each had two hits with Perez's including a double while Connor Bullinger and Rocco Williams each hit doubles as well.

Lenawee Christian at Sand Creek (DH)

The Aggies won a pair of TCC games by beating the Cougars, 16-1 and 17-3.

Jacob Kaufman and Andon Sutherland each drove in three runs with a double and two runs in Game 1 while Jordan Illenden had two hits with an RBI, Parker Bowles had two hits with two RBIs and two runs and Dane Morrin had two hits as well. Reid Hulett gave up an unearned run, on three hits and two walks while striking out five in the win.

Kaufman went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs in Game 2 while Ivan Wilkinson also had two hits with a double, three RBIs and two runs. Carson Preston had three hits with an RBI and three runs and Illenden added two hits with an RBI and two runs. Wilkinson got the win, going five innings and giving up three runs (two earned), on three hits and a walk while striking out six.

Zyan Breznik took the Game 1 loss while Colton Clymer dropped Game 2 and Blake Drogowski had two doubles.

Vandercook Lake at Addison (DH)

The Panthers picked up a home Cascades Conference West Division sweep of the Jayhawks, 11-1 and 17-0.

Logan Jewell went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs in Game 1 while Brodi Keegan had two hits, three RBIs and two runs. Drew Spink tossed five innings, giving up an unearned run, on two hits and no walks while striking out 12.

Noah Gramm had three hits, three runs and an RBI in Game 2 while Spink and Mike Trumble each had two hits, three RBIs and two runs, Jacob Wright had two hits and two RBIs and Keegan added two more hits.

Wright tossed three shutout innings, giving up two hits and no walks while striking out six.

Washtenaw Christian at Britton Deerfield (DH)

The Patriots won a pair of non-league games, beating Washtenaw Christian, 1-0 and 3-2.

Logan Shiels hit a double in Game 1 while Keegan Bush tossed a complete game shutout, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out eight.

Bush added two hits in Game 2 with an RBI while Ryan Good tossed six innings, giving up two runs, on six hits and no walks while striking out three. Logan Smith got the win with a shutout seventh, giving up a hit and no walks while striking out one. Bush's second hit of the game was a walk-off RBI single.

Softball

Tecumseh at Adrian (DH)

Tecumseh defeated the Maples in a pair of SEC White games, 15-0 and 11-1.

Ally Feuerbacher and Emma Eldred combined to toss three no-hit innings with Feuerbacher striking out four and Eldred getting two.

Wendy Ketola was 3-for-3 with three triples, three RBIs and three runs while Lucy Whelan was 2-for-3 with a triple, RBI and two runs and Bella Juozapaitis went 2-for-2 with a triple, double, two RBIs and two runs. Natalie Petty went 2-for-2 with a double, RBI and two runs while Maddy VanBlack drove in two runs with a double and Emma Leitner hit a double as well.

Ella Sattler got the win in Game 2, giving up two hits, one run and no walks while striking out one.

Ketola was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run while Leitner was 2-for-3 with a double and three runs and Petty was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run. Jessie Wilkinson went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Hailey Vetitoe and Ciara Ernst had the lone Adrian hits.

Vandercook Lake at Addison (DH)

The Panthers won a pair of Cascades Conference West Division games, beating the Jayhawks 19-1 and 15-1.

Laci Patterson went 2-for-2 with an inside the park grand slam in Game 1, finishing with five RBIs and four runs scored. Olivia Speelman went three innings and gave up an unearned run, on four hits and no walks while striking out seven.

Laci Patterson added two hits with a double, three RBIs and four runs in Game 2 while Lexi Patterson hit a double as well with two hits and three runs scored. Nevaeh Edison had two hits with a double and two RBIs while Speelman hit a double and drove in two runs.

Speelman got the Game 2 win as well, allowing an unearned run, on one hit and one walk while striking out seven.

Camden Frontier at Morenci (DH)

The Bulldogs swept a pair of non-conference games as they beat Camden Frontier, 10-0 and 8-3.

Addyson Valentine struck out 16 and allowed five hits as she won both games and added two hits along with Rylee Frederick, Evelyn Joughin and Chelsea Pierce in Game 1.

Valentine hit a three-run home run in Game 2 while Pierce hit an RBI double.

Girls Soccer

Clinton 6, Onsted 0

ONSTED — The Redwolves won their fourth-straight game, all in LCAA play, and have outscored opponents 35-1 during the current streak.

Aubrey Lauer scored all six goals while Kaylee Reiser had four assists and Veronica Bartlett had two and Jacklyn Whiting had eight saves.

Adrian 8, Ypsilanti 1

ADRIAN — The Maples stayed within striking distance of Chelsea in the SEC White by beating the Grizzlies.

Tatum Borton had four goals while Sydney Chesser had two assists and a goal and Ella Salenbien had a goal and an assist. Jaleigh Niese scored as well while Izzy Dusseau had an assist.

Blissfield 8, Hillsdale 0

HILLSDALE — The Royals picked up another LCAA win, shutting out the Hornets.

Blissfield has won five of its last six games and are in second place in the LCAA.

Pinckney 8, Tecumseh 0

TECUMSEH — Tecumseh was shutout in an SEC White match.

Tecumseh is 5-9-2 on the season.

Track and Field

Hudson at Lenawee Christian

The Tigers visited the Cougars for a non-league regional tune-up.

Picking up wins for the LCS was Easton Boggs in the shot put (42-feet-4-inches) and discus (128-11) while Brenner Powers won the 200-meter dash (23.5) and the long jump (19-8) and Judah Penny in the 100 (13.17) and Landon Chadek in the 1,600 (5:34.59). Sam Lutz, Paul Towler, Powers and Boggs won the 4x100 (46.36).

The Hudson boys got wins from Jackson Kast in the 400 (58.94), Isaac St. John in the 1,600 (2:06.24), Cole Marry in the intermediate hurdles (46.23), Bradley Pickford in the high jump (5-4) and Alex Czeiszperger in the pole vault (11-0). Aiden Lopinski, Grayson Bills, Marry and Brennan Marshall won the 4x200 (1:40.01) while Bills, Czeiszperger, St. John and Gage Mannarino won the 4x400 (3:54.50).

The Tigers' Naika Rath won the 100 (13.50), 200 (26.20) and 400 (1:02.56) for the girls team. Paige Clark won the high hurdles (18.88) while Ellie Loar won the shot put (33-1), McKenzie Daugherty won the discus (107-8), Emmalin Rodifor won the high jump (4-9) and Annabelle Czeiszperger won the pole vault (8-9). Rath was joined by Jayla Bright, Rylie Bloomer and Elci Rogers to win the 4x400 (5:00.60).

LCS' Izzy Brooks won the 800 (2:23.64) while Kendall Plate won the 1,600 (7:02.35) and Ema Crowley won the long jump (14-0). Crowley, Ila Stewart, Emerson Holsopple and Gigi Masters won the 4x100 (53.57) while Holsopple, Brooks, Stewart and Masters won the 4x200 (1:51.64).

TUESDAY

Softball

Hudson at Clinton (DH)

The Redwolves stayed ahead of the rest of LCAA as they beat the Tigers at home in a sweep, 4-0 and 6-1.

Kendall Phillip set the tone, allowing three hits and striking out 17 in Game 1 while Raven Aldridge went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double, Kyleigh Ramos was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Taryn Hernandez was 2-for-4.

Hernandez won Game 2, striking out 14 and allowing three hits and two walks. Kaylin Sposite went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Annabell Preston was 2-for-4.

Taylor Kopin had two hits with a double in Game 1 for Hudson while Dinah Horwath had two hits with a triple in Game 2. Teagan Arredondo and Keegan Shaffer took the losses in the circle.

Sand Creek at Morenci (DH)

The Aggies won a pair of road TCC games as they beat the Bulldogs, 12-2 and 13-2.

Sydney Marks and Maddie Osburn each had three hits in Game 1, Makenna Wheeler and Lily Hawkins each had two with two RBIs, Erin Alexander hit two doubles and Carley Allen had two hits.

Osburn and Allen each had two hits and two RBIs in Game 2 while Wheeler and Marks had two hits and two runs and Jalyn Snyder hit an RBI triple. Claire Pickens and Wheeler got the wins.

Callie VanBrandt had two hits and two RBIs in Game 2 for Morenci. Addyson Valentine and Jaelyn Thompson took the losses.

The Aggies are 7-1 in the TCC and will play unbeaten Whiteford next week for a shot at the TCC title with a sweep.

Hillsdale at Blissfield (DH)

The Royals swept Hillsdale with a pair of LCAA wins, 18-0 and 17-0.

Natalia Wilson went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run while Mikayla Busdieker went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI and Nicole Brewer hit a double with an RBI and three runs. Alyssa Barnhart went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs.

Bella Treloar went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and three runs in Game 2 while Alexis O'Brien hit a double with two RBIs, Maycie Valasek went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs, Brooklyn Fetzer went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Brewer struck out four in three innings, allowing three hits and a walk in Game 1 before Genesis Elliott tossed three hitless innings in Game 2, striking out two and walking one.

Madison at Dundee (DH)

The Trojans dropped a pair of LCAA games to the Vikings, 11-1 and 17-5.

Kalexiana Wrest had three hits on the day, as did Jamariah Powers with a double and Roni Flores hit a double and drove in two runs.

Camylie Sower took both losses.

Ida at Onsted (DH)

The Wildcats lost both LCAA games, 16-0 and 11-1.

Olivia Harding had three hits on the day while Eva Barber and Megan Hunt took the losses.

Baseball

Sand Creek at Morenci (DH)

The Aggies won a pair of TCC games against Morenci, 17-0 and 15-0.

Parker Bowles was 4-for-5 with two doubles, four RBIs and four runs while Dane Morrin went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs, Jordan Illenden went 2-for-5 with three RBIs, Carson Preston had three hits with a double four runs and two RBIs, Cole Scharer went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and two runs and Ivan Wilkinson hit a double as well.

Jared Snyder got the win in Game 1, going three innings and allowing one hit and a walk while striking out three before Preston took Game 2, allowing a hit and two walks while striking out five.

Hudson at Clinton (DH)

The Tigers and Redwolves split the LCAA doubleheader with Hudson rallying late for a 7-5 win in Game 1 before Clinton answered with an 8-1 win in Game 2.

Parker Seeger went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs in Game 1 for Hudson while RJ Thompson went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs and Liam Timm was 2-for-4 with two runs. Bradley Bertram added a double and KJ Walker got the win, going 2.1 shutout innings, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out four.

Nik Shadley, Jalen Stelzer, Gavin Shores and Cole Breitenwisher all had two hits for the Redwolves with Stelzer hitting a triple and a double with three RBIs. Quinn Walden got the start, going four shutout innings, giving up three hits and no runs while striking out four and walking three.

Game 2 Louie Della-Badia had a great outing, allowing an unearned run, on three hits and one walk while striking out nine for Clinton. Andy Fair and Walden each had two hits while Shadley drove in two runs and Breitenwisher hit a double.

Seeger took the loss for Hudson.

Hillsdale at Blissfield (DH)

The Royals picked up a pair of LCAA wins as they beat the Hornets, 15-0 and 14-0.

Ethan Stines tossed four hitless innings in Game 1, allowing two walks while striking out eight. Stines also hit a triple and scored three runs while Blake Wood hit a double with an RBI.

Jack Deatrick tossed five shutout innings in Game 2, giving up two hits and five walks while striking out 10. The Royals only had two hits, but showed patience and drew 15 walks.

Ida at Onsted (DH)

The Wildcats stayed a game behind Blissfield in the LCAA race as they swept the Bluestreaks, 4-3 and 2-0.

Game 1 took 10 innings when Quinn Hiram had a walk-off single to win the game, one of his two hits. JT Hill also had two hits and a run while Hunter Kelley got the win, going three innings and giving up no runs, three hits and no walks while striking out one.

Game 2 was called after five innings with Gabe Amsdill allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four in those innings to get the win. Luke Manders went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Madison at Dundee (DH)

The Trojans dropped a pair of LCAA games to the Vikings 9-5 and 11-5.

Brian Dopp went 3-for-4 with a triple, RBI and two runs while Cam Barber went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Cole Grof took the loss.

Barber had two more hits with two RBIs in Game 2 while Norman Frederick went 3-for-3 and Landon Mohr doubled. Frederick took the loss.

Girls Tennis

Adrian 5, Onsted 3

ADRIAN — The Maples picked up a victory against the Wildcats by taking three of the four doubles matches.

Lauren Fisher and Clara Memon, Grace Smart and Caroline Hofflander and Kirsten Hess and Emma Pino all got doubles wins while Aniyah Yoder and Alexis Collins helped push Adrian to a 7-7-1 record with singles wins.

Girls Soccer

Lenawee Christian 8, Jackson Christian 0

JACKSON — Callie Anderson went off as the Cougars picked up a mercy win on the road.

Anderson had seven goals while Gigi Masters had the eighth and had two assists. Brynn Davis and Ava Feick each had two assists.

Blissfield 4, Ida 1

IDA — The Royals clinched at least second place in the LCAA with a win against the Bluestreaks on the road.

Blissfield is 9-3 on the season and 7-2 in the LCAA with the two losses both coming to front-runners Clinton. The Royals are a win away from their first double-digit win season since 2013.

WEDNESDAY

Girls Soccer

Adrian 4, Tecumseh 0

TECUMSEH — Adrian clinched the SEC White title for the first time in program history after Chelsea lost to Pinckney moments after the Maples defeated rival Tecumseh.

Adrian's win pair with the Bulldogs lost pushed the Maples ahead in the final standings by a point.

Tatum Borton scored all four goals while Sienna Gauna and Jaleigh Niese had assists and Lily Hassan made three saves in the shutout.

The Maples haven't lost in more than a month, winning eight-straight and 10 of the last 12 with two ties.

Lenawee Christian 2, Lansing Christian 1

LANSING — The Cougars picked up their second win of the week as they beat another LCS on the road.

Lenawee Christian is peaking at the right time, winning six of the last seven to improve its record to 7-4.

Boys Golf

TCC Championship at The Hills of Lenawee

ADRIAN — Lenawee Christian wrapped up the TCC title by sweeping the TCC Jamborees and the championship with a score of 339.

Whiteford took second at 374 followed by Britton Deerfield (391), Summerfield (401), Erie Mason (434) and Sand Creek (455).

The Cougars' Connor Parisien was the season medalist, averaging a score of 38.2 to beat on BD's Logan Sheils at 38.6. Parker Bell and Max Stamats tied for third at 42.6 and Sand Creek's Jonathan Fisher took eighth at 46.8.

Lacrosse

Tecumseh 14, Brownstown Woodhaven 0

TECUMSEH — Tecumseh boys improved to 10-6 on the season began the MHSAA Division 2 regional with a victory.

Tecumseh rolled against Woodhaven and advanced to the regional semifinal, which will be played at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ypsilanti Lincoln against either the Railsplitters or Temperance Bedford.

Girls Tennis

Division 4 regional at Jackson Lumen Christi

Onsted's No. 1 doubles team of Madison Sniegowski and Emilie LaBrie beat the team from Leslie, 6-0, 6-0, before falling to the Lumen Christi team, 6-0, 6-3.

Caitlin Tessier won a first round match at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-2, as did No. 4 singles' Ava Kurowski, 6-1, 6-1. Both fell in the second round.

Softball

Tecumseh at Temperance Bedford (DH)

Tecumseh won a pair of SEC crossover games, beating the Kicking Mules, 8-2 and 13-3.

Wendy Ketola went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs while Laura Nadeau hit a home run with three RBIs. Bella Juozapaitis had three hits with two RBIs while Lauren Kilbarger had three hits with two runs and Lucy Whelan, Emma Leitner and Emma Eldred had two hits each. Leitner gave up two unearned runs, on 11 hits and a walk while striking out one.

Whelan had a three-hit game in Game 2 with an RBI while Ketola had two with a double and two RBIs, Leitner had two hits, Jessie Wilkinson had two hits with a double and Kilbarger had two hits. Nadeau drove in two runs with a double, Eldred and Juozapaitis each had a double with three RBIs and Natalie Petty hit a double.

Ally Feuerbacher got the win, giving up three runs, on five hits and two walks while striking out one.

East Jackson at Addison

The Panthers split a Cascades Conference doubleheader, winning Game 1, 10-1, before falling in Game 2, 13-11.

Laci Patterson had three hits in Game 1, including two solo home runs and scored four runs. Keira Wheaton wen 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, Nevaeh Edison had three hits and Olivia Speelman and Kylie Morris each had two.

Speelman got the win, giving up an unearned run, on eight hits and a walk while striking out eight.

Lexi Patterson did the damage in Game 2, going 3-for-4 with a home run, triple, four RBIs and three runs while Laci Patterson had two hits with a triple, double and an RBI. Morris had two hits with two RBIs, Speelman added two hits, Edison had two hits, an RBI and two runs and Nevaeh Haag and Lily Arnold each had two hits.

Speelman took the loss.

Saline 15, Adrian 0

SALINE — The Maples dropped a single game to the Hornets.

Hailey Vetittoe took the loss in the circle.

Baseball

Adrian 5, Tecumseh 4

TECUMSEH — The Maples finished the sweep of Tecumseh and put the finishing touches on the SEC White title.

Tyler Bruggeman, Tristan Hayes, Sean Parker, Joelden Griffin and Gary Kemerer all two hits in the game for Adrian while Julius Robichaud got the win and a clutch, two-out single in the seventh to make it a 3-3 game before rallying in the seventh again for two runs.

Rocco Williams got the start and went six innings, giving up three runs (two earned), on 10 hits and a walk while striking out three. Jeremy Bennett took the loss.

Whiteford 6, Blissfield 0

BLISSFIELD — Division 3 No. 5 Whiteford defeated No. 13 Blissfield in a non-league matchup of ranked teams.

Dove Eitzen took the loss on the mound.

Track and Field

Sand Creek Last Chance Meet

The Aggies hosted a final meet before the MHSAA regional meets this weekend.

Sand Creek's Corbyn Pinsoneault won the boys 200 (24.22) while Madison's Morgan Bennice-Carol won the girls 200 (30.17). Sand Creek's Julianna Tanner won the girls 1,600 (7:27.21).

The Aggies' Harley Sharrock won the boys shot put (44-5), Brayden Ruff won the boys discus (109-11), Ethan Meyers won the high jump (5-9) and Madison's Ben Blanchard won the long jump (17-9.50).

Sand Creek's Lainey Johnston won the high jump (4-10) while Elise Wilkinson won the long jump (14-8.50).

THURSDAY

Boys Golf

LCAA Jamboree at Wolf Creek

ADRIAN — Clinton picked up an LCAA Jamboree victory as the Redwolves shot 168.

Behind Clinton was Blissfield at 181 followed by Dundee and Ida (183), Hudson (186), Onsted (187), Hillsdale (188) and Madison (198).

Dundee's Carter Bahn was the medalist with a 36 followed by Hudson's Austin Marry (38). Clinton's Jacob Rothman was tied for third with a 40 alongside Lucas Dopp of Madison and Ida's Zack Bailey. The Redwolves had Brandon Ruhl tie for sixth at 41 with Joseph Miller of Hillsdale while Blissfield's Matthew Earley and Clinton's Robert McDonald tied for eighth at 43. Four others, including Clinton's Connor Younts and Onsted's Collin Gerken, tied for 10th at 44.

The LCAA heads into the 18-hole championship Monday at Tecumseh Golf Club with Blissfield and Dundee tied for first and the Redwolves five points behind.

Girls Tennis

Division 2 Regional at Chelsea

Tecumseh picked up six tournament wins, including one semifinal appearance, while Adrian had four in the MHSAA Division 2 regional.

Violet Roehrig and Madeline McFarland got to the semifinal of the No. 2 doubles bracket with a pair of wins. Picking up first round wins for Tecumseh was Carissa Roehm at No. 1 singles, Olivia Hartman at No. 2 singles, Piper Holtz at No. 3 singles and Macy Schmidt and Rachel Wendt at No. 1 doubles.

Aniyah Yoder won at No. 1 singles for the Maples while Maya Awad won at No. 4 singles, Caroline Hofflander and Grace Smart won at No. 3 doubles and Emma Pino and Kirsten Hess won at No. 4 doubles.

Baseball

Madison at Hudson (DH)

The Trojans took Game 1 of the LCAA doubleheader, 9-7, and leads 7-2 in Game 2 after it was suspended due to darkness.

Game 1 went 10 innings after Madison plated four runs in the top of the seventh to force extra innings. Cole Grof had two hits with three RBIs, including a two-run single in the seventh to tie the game, while Brian Dopp had two doubles and Miles Frank drove in two runs.

Cam Barber got the win by tossing the final 3.1 innings and striking out six.

KJ Walker took the loss as he went 5.2 innings and gave up seven runs (one earned), on six hits and five walks while striking out three. Bradley Bertram had two doubles with two RBIs while Liam Taylor added a double.

Game 2 was suspended after three innings.

Onsted at Manchester (DH)

The Wildcats split a pair of non-league road games as they lost Game 1, 17-7, and won Game 2, 9-3.

Onsted plated six runs in the top of the seventh of Game 2 to get the win. JT Hill had two hits with a double and an RBI while Quinn Hiram hit a double as well with an RBI.

Talan Hutchinson got the win, tossing three innings and giving up two runs, on one hit and three walks while striking out three.

Hunter Kelley took the Game 1 loss while going 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, Hill hit a triple and drove in two runs, Hutchinson had an RBI double and Luke Manders went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Whiteford at Britton Deerfield (DH)

Britton Deerfield gave ranked Whiteford a test, but fell in the pair of TCC games, 6-3 and 8-2.

Keegan Bush took the Game 1 loss and went 2-for-3 with a run while Ryan Good hit a double and Logan Shiels drove in two runs.

Shiels took the Game 2 loss as the Patriots were held to three hits.

Softball

Adrian 16, Ann Arbor Huron 0, 3 inn.

ADRIAN — The Maples crushed Huron in an SEC crossover game while honoring their seniors.

Ciara Ernst got the win, giving up one hit and no walks while striking out four. She also went 3-for-3 with a triple, double, two RBIs, two runs and a stolen base. Keira Iott hit a double.

Bronson at Clinton (DH)

Clinton dropped a pair of non-league games, 6-2 and 5-3.

Kendall Phillip took the Game 1 loss, allowing five hits and striking out four while the offense was held to one hit.

Taryn Hernandez took the Game 2 loss, allowing seven hits and striking out five. Lola Szczesniak had the lone hit in Game 1 and doubled in Game 2.

Whiteford at Britton Deerfield (DH)

The Patriots dropped a pair of TCC games, 23-3 and 16-1.

Victoria Fraley had a hit and took the loss in Game 1 while Kurina Dotson had the lone hit in Game 2 while Adriana Rafalko took the loss.

FRIDAY

Track and Field

Division 2 Regional at Chelsea

The Adrian boys won the Division 2 regional title at Chelsea while Tecumseh took third place.

On the girls' side, the Maples placed eighth and Tecumseh was 13th while Chelsea took the top spot.

Adrian's Matthew Canales won the 800 (1:54.07) and was joined by Chase Nyack, Moises Salazar and Braylon Petty to win the 4x800 (8:05.48).

Also qualifying for the state meet for the Maples' boys was Petty in the 1,600 (4:24.47) as he took third and the 3,200 (9:45.87) while Isaiah Fox qualified in the high hurdles (15.27) where he took second and the intermediate hurdles (41.69) where he took sixth. Radon Love qualified in the shot put (46-10.5) as he took second.

Qualifying for Adrian girls was Sophy Skeels in the 800 (2:25.39) as she took second place and the 1,600 (5:11.55) where she took third while her sister Ayda Skeels took fourth to qualify in the 1,600 (5:12.67). Ayda also qualified in the 3,200 (11:36.62) as she took third.

Tecumseh's AJ Bryan won the 100 (11.10). Max Danley qualified in the intermediate hurdles (40.51) as he took third. Bryan, Danley, Declan Cornish and Alex Lichtner qualified in the 4x100 (44.15) as they took second and the 4x200 (1:31.47) where they placed third.

Bryan, Cornish and Danley were joined by Ryan Mossburg to qualify in the 4x400 (3:28.52) as they took second. Bryan McCutcheon qualified in the discus (133-10) as he took second while Cornish qualified in the high jump (6-3) as he took second as well.

Amaria Brown qualified for the Tecumseh girls in the high jump (5-1) as she took second.

Division 4 Regional at Hillsdale College

Both Hillsdale Academy teams won its home Division 4 regional while the Addison girls were the top local team as the Panthers took third.

Morenci girls placed fifth while Lenawee Christian was sixth and Britton Deerfield was 11th. For the boys, LCS was sixth as well while Morenci was eighth, Britton Deerfield was 10th and Addison was 12th.

Addison's Molly Brown won the 100 (12.60), 200 (26.39), high hurdles (14.86) and intermediate hurdles (47.04).

Also qualifying for the Panthers' girls was Stephanie Hernandez in the 1,600 (5:33.29) and 3,200 (12:24.37) as she took third in both while Sayra Hernandez qualified in the 800 (2:29.62) taking fifth and Taylor Jezierski did it in the 100 (13.48) as she took sixth. Jezierski, Sayra Hernandez, Kayli Trumble and Lilah Davis qualified in the 4x200 (1:56.71) as they took ninth. Caroline Yoder qualified in the discus (97-11) as she took fourth and Kendalyn Perry qualified in the pole vault (8-0) as she tied for second.

Morenci's Leah Rorick qualified in the 400 (1:04.05) and high hurdles (15.82) as she took second in both while Emma Williams did it in the 100 (13.31) as she took fifth. Williams, Jillian Borton, Kiana Castillo and Colbie Ekins qualified in the 4x100 (53.83) as they took second while Rorick joined Williams, Burtona and Castillo to qualify in the 4x200 (1:52.17) by taking second. Rorick, Williams, Ekins and Castillo qualified in the 4x400 (4:21.85) as they took fourth.

LCS' Gigi Masters qualified in the 100 (12.60) as she took second while Izzy Brooks did it in the 800 (2:22.24) as she took third. Emma Crowley, Emerson Holsopple, Ila Stewart and Ally Day qualified in the 4x100 (54.41) as they took fourth while Holsopple, Stewart, Brooks and Masters qualified in the 4x400 (4:20.19) and the 4x800 (10:39.10) as they took third in both and the 4x200 (1:56.24) as they took seventh. Sophie Samonek qualified in the discus (100-11) by taking third.

Britton Deerfield's Aubrey Appleman qualified in the 1,600 (5:41.18) and took fifth and in the 800 (2:32.30) as she took seventh.

For the boys, LCS' Brenner Powers qualified in the 100 (11.39) and 200 (23.53) as he took second in both as well as the long jump (19-11.75) as he took third. Blake Drogowski, Sam Lutz and Paul Towler joined Powers qualified in the 4x100 (45.55) as they took third. Easton Boggs qualified in the shot put (42-5)

Morenci's Beau Shaffer qualified in the 3,200 (10:44.57) as he took fourth. Kylan Lester, Michael Rising, Van Ekins and Wyatt Berger qualified in the 4x100 (46.02) as they took fourth while Shaffer, Ekins, Rising and Zachary Martinez qualified in the 4x800 (8:45.12) as they took second.

Britton Deerfield's Cayden Allhouse, Gabe Bishop, Maddox Dudek and Carson Johnson qualified in the 4x100 (44.98) as they took second.

Addison's Lucas Morse qualified in the pole vault (11-0) as he tied for second.

Girls Soccer

Clinton 12, Dundee 0

CLINTON — Aubrey Lauer scored 10 goals as she helped the Redwolves cap off another undefeated LCAA season.

Mia Calucci and Veronica Bartlett scored the other two goals while Anna Schaffner had five assists, Lillian Trubiano had two and Cylee Elkins had one.

Clinton is 43-0-1 in LCAA play all-time and has won all four titles.

Blissfield 5, Onsted 1

BLISSFIELD — The Royals wrapped up the regular season with a win against the rival Wildcats at home.

Blissfield finishes second in the LCAA at 8-2 while Onsted took third at 6-5.

Milan 6, Tecumseh 0

MILAN — Tecumseh lost in a shutout in a non-league game at Milan.

Tecumseh is 5-11-2 this season.

Softball

Dexter at Tecumseh (DH)

Tecumseh picked up an SEC crossover sweep of Dexter, 8-2 and 6-4.

Natalie Petty had three hits in Game 1, including a double and two RBIs, while Lucy Whelan was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs and Wendy Ketola was 2-for-4 with two runs. Emma Leitner got the win, giving up two runs (one earned), on nine hits and a walk while striking out four.

In Game 2, Ketola hit a home run with two RBIs, Emma Eldred went 3-for-3 with a triple, double and an RBI, Whelan was 2-for-4 with two runs, Leitner went 2-for-3 and Lauren Kilbarger was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Ally Feuerbacher got the win, going 5.1 innings and giving up four runs, on nine hits and three walks while striking out two.

Britton Deerfield at Addison (DH)

The Panthers swept BD in a pair of non-league games, 16-5 and 16-1.

Laci Patterson hit a double and drove in four runs while Olivia Speelman tossed three innings, giving up one hit and three walks while striking out four.

Lexi Patterson went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and an RBI in Game 2 while Speelman doubled and drove in three runs and score two of her own.

Keira Wheaton tossed two shutout innings.

Victoria Fraley hit a double for the Patriots.

Vandercook Lake at Sand Creek (DH)

The Aggies swept the Jayhawks in non-league play, 19-7 and 13-5.

Claire Pickens hit a grand slam in Game 1 and scored five runs while Makenna Wheeler hit a two-run home run. Lily Hawkins, Maddie Osburn, Sydney Marks and Scout Robinson each had two hits.

Pickens added three more hits in Game 2 with a solo home run while Wheeler had three hits and two doubles with two RBIs. Osburn had three hits with two runs and Marks and Hawkins each had two hits.

Blissfield vs. Monroe SMCC (DH) at Adrian College

The Royals split with the Kestrels in a pair of non-league games, winning 3-0 before falling 6-4.

Bella Treloar tossed a complete game shutout in Game 1, giving up five hits and three walks while striking out 14. Alexis O'Brien hit a double and drove in a run while Nicole Brewer had two hits.

Treloar hit a double in Game 2 while Genesis Elliott took the loss.

Baseball

Clinton at Tecumseh (DH)

Tecumseh and Clinton split a non-league doubleheader with Tecumseh winning 8-5 in Game 1 before the Redwolves took Game 2, 6-0.

Ryan Knight got the win for Tecumseh in relief as he went 2.2 innings and gave up two runs, on one hit and a walk. Palmer Ziemer got the save by getting the final two outs.

Eli Bagby went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI while Rocco Williams was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Ramiro Perez hit a double and drove in two and Bryan Covel hit a double and drove in a run.

Nik Shadley had two hits for Clinton while Cole Breitenwischer, Andy Fair and Jalen Stelzer all hit doubles. Stelzer took the loss.

Louie Della-Badia tossed a complete game shutout in Game 2 for the Redwolves, giving up four hits, no walks and striking out two. Fair was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI while Gavin Shores hit an RBI double.

Mason Tuberville took the loss while Ziemer hit a double.

Addison 3, Britton Deerfield 1

ADDISON — The Panthers beat the Patriots in a non-league game.

Drew Spink got the win, going 5.1 innings and giving up an unearned run, on three hits and no walks while striking out six. Levi Chestney went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Keegan Bush and Logan Shiels each hit a double for BD while Ryan Good took the loss, giving up three unearned runs, on six hits and no walks while striking out two.

Blissfield vs. Monroe SMCC (DH) at Adrian College

The Royals split a pair against the Falcons, losing 4-0 in Game 1 and winning Game 2, 13-3.

Lucas Cantrell went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the Game 2 while Kipp Fisher went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Dove Eitzen had two hits while Tyler Ganun hit a double with three RBIs and Jack Deatrick hit a double with two RBIs.

Preston Iffland got the win, going five innings and giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out three.

Jon Cheney took the loss for Blissfield, giving up four runs (one earned), on five hits and two walks while striking out three.

Jackson Northwest at Hudson (DH)

Hudson dropped a pair of non-league games, 4-2 and 8-2.

Gavin Yatzek took the loss while KJ Walker went 2-for-3 with a double and a run in Game 1. Parker Seeger took the loss in Game 2.

Hanover Horton Invite

JACKSON — Onsted traveled to Arbor Hills and took fifth at the Hanover Horton Invite.

Jayden Valasek led the way with an 84 while Daniel Puckett shot an 89, Nolan Schonfeld shot a 91 and Cole England shot a 92, all season lows.

Division 3 Regional at Madison

The Whiteford boys and Monroe SMCC girls took the regional titles at Madison while the Onsted boys were the top local team taking second.

Clinton boys took fifth while Madison was seventh, Blissfield took ninth, Hudson took 11th and Sand Creek finished 12th. For the girls, Hudson was third followed by Madison, Onsted, Sand Creek, Blissfield and Clinton.

Onsted's Emmry Ross won the 400 (56.62), 800 (2:13.79), 1,600 (4:58.73) and the 3,200 (11:46.78). Mitchell Hiatt won the boys 3,200 (10:01.96) for the Wildcats.

Madison's Tatum Wilson, Madaline Goldmeyer, Nevaeh Parish and Jillian Kendrick won the 4x200 (1:47.42) while Amaris Benard joined Wilson, Goldmeyer and Kendrick to win the 4x400 (4:15.47). Onsted's Cannon Ruttkofsky, Joey Denkins, Griffin Amthor and Aidan Paquin won the 4x100 (44.43) while Blissfield's William Marks, Evan Vore, Ian Waddell and Jackson Vandenbusche won the 4x800 (8:19.04).

Clinton's Mason Brodie won the shot put (50-7.25) and discus (147-9) while Onsted's Mason Chesser won the high jump (6-4). McKenzie Daugherty won the discus (108-10) for Hudson while Erin Alexander of Sand Creek won the pole vault (8-9).

Onsted's Hiatt qualified in the 1,600 (4:28.40) by taking second while Paquin took third in the 100 (11.39) and second in the intermediate hurdles (41.80). Ruttkofsky, Paquin, Amthor and Connor Kish qualified in the 4x200 (1:31.89) by taking second. Hunter VanZandt, Ruttkofsky, Chesser and Logan Irwin qualified in the 4x400 (3:33.67) as they took third. VanZandt, James Bayes, Hiatt and Ethan Grulke qualified in the 4x800 (8:22.21) while taking third.

Blissfield's Vandenbusche qualified in the 800 (2:03.24) as he took third. Layla Smith qualified for the 100 (13.20) as she took fifth and in the long jump (16-0.5) as she took fourth and Hope Miller qualified in the 800 (2:24.58) by taking fourth and the 1,600 (5:11.59) by taking second. Smith, Reanne Smith, Reilan Sayler and Michaiah Franklin qualified in the 4x100 (53.08) and took eighth. Natalie Benitez, June Miller, Hope Miller and Hailey Sills qualified in the 4x800 (10:16.79) as they took third.

Madison's Jalonn Borders qualified in the high hurdles (15.99) by taking second and was joined by Elijah Crete, Wade Garza and Amthor to qualify in the 4x100 (45.14) by taking fourth. Jillian Kendrick qualified in the 100 (13.06) as she took third. Wilson, Goldmeyer, Parish and Kendrick qualified for the 4x100 (51.27) as they took second. Parish took third in the long jump (16.15) to qualify.

Sand Creek's Connor Pickens, Corbyn Pinsoneault, Josh Russell and Ivan Wilkinson qualified in the 4x100 (1:33.65) as they took fourth. Harley Sharrock qualified in the shot put (46-5.75) as he took third. Tanana Emmendorfer qualified in the 400 (1:00.38) as she took second, the 200 (27.31) as she took fifth and the discus (106-6) as she took second. Emmendorfer was joined by Alexander, Anahi Ramirez and Kayla Meszaros to qualify in the 4x100 (52.70) by taking fifth. Elise Wilkinson qualified in the long jump (15-9.25) as she placed sixth.

Clinton's Elijah Turner qualified in the high jump (6-0) as he took second while Brenden Benschoter qualified in the long jump (20-5) as he took second. Samantha Coots qualified in the 800 (2:24.33) as she took third while Allison Bowles qualified in the 3,200 (12:03.84) as she took second. Summer Chandler, Katelyn Baker, Madelyn McGraw and Ashlynn Phillips qualified in the 4x100 (53.02) as they took seventh. Bowles, Coots, Cylee Elkins and Emerald Sierer qualified in the 4x800 (10:11.79) by taking second. Chandler and Bella Bannon each qualified in the high jump by taking third at 4-11.

Hudson's Alex Czeiszperger qualified in the pole vault (12-0) as he took third. Naika Rath qualified in the 100 (12.93), 200 (26.34) and long jump (16-2) as she took second in each and in the 400 (1:00.70) as she took third. Ellie Loar took second in the shot put (32-9.5) while Emmalin Rodifer qualified by taking second in the high jump (5-1). Annabelle Czeiszperger qualified in the pole vault (8-9) as she took second.

Baseball

Maple Invite

The Maples defended their home field by beating Madison, 10-0, and Sand Creek, 7-0.

Sean Parker tossed a one-hit shutout with eight strikeouts against Madison. Tyler Bruggeman had two hits with a triple, Tristan Hayes had three with three RBIs, Gary Kemerer went 2-for-2 with a double and three runs and Joelden Griffin went 2-for-3.

Cole Grof took the loss for the Trojans.

Hayes got the win against the Aggies, striking out six and giving up three hits in five innings. Solomon Hiatt went 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs and stole home. Hayes added two hits with two RBIs and two runs.

Sand Creek beat Madison, 9-8.

Jacob Schamberger went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs while Jordan Illenden hit a triple and drove in two runs. Parker Bowles got the win.

Miles Frank had two hits for the Trojans with two RBIs while Brian Dopp hit a triple with two RBIs, Ashton Hoag had two hits with a double and Brody Short hit a double with two RBIs and Norman Frederick had two hits. Dopp took the loss.

Bronson Tournament

Clinton claimed the title at Bronson, topping Marshall, 8-1, before beating the host Vikings, 14-10.

Jalen Stelzer was 2-for-4 with a double while Bryce Rosacrans hit a triple and drove in a run and Cole Breitenwischer went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs. Dacari Garrison gave up an unearned run, on six hits and a walk while striking out three.

Breitenwischer hit two triples with four RBIs and a run in the final while Stelzer had three hits with two RBIs, Gavin Shores went two hits and two runs and Nik Shadley had two hits with an RBI and two runs. Quinn Walden got the win as he tossed two innings in relief.

Lenawee Christian 7, Litchfield 2

ADRIAN — Blake Drogowski added five steals to his program record, giving him 33 as the Cougars rolled to a non-conference win.

Zane Cherfan went 2-for-4 with an RBI while Gabe Miller went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs while Easton Boggs went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Drogowski got the win, tossing 6.1 no hit innings, giving up two unearned runs and three walks while striking out nine.

Al Glick Invite

Onsted toppled Reading, 15-0, before falling to Jackson Lumen Christi, 6-5.

JT Hill went 2-for-2 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs in the opener while Luke Manders hit a double with two RBIs and Talan Hutchinson hit a double with an RBI and two runs. Hutchinson got the win, giving up one hit and striking out five in three innings.

Quinn Hiram had three hits and three runs in the loss while Manders had two hits and two RBIs. Gabe Amsdill took the loss, giving up three unearned runs.

Softball

Maple Invite

Madison took the top prize, beating Adrian, 15-4, before topping Sand Creek, 7-4.

Jamairah Powers went 2-for-3 in the final with a home run and two RBIs while Kalexiana Wrest doubled with an RBI while Mya Solis went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Micajah Briggs got the win, striking out 11 while tossing a complete game.

Maddie Osburn had two hits while Jalyn Snyder hit a double and Claire Pickens took the loss for the Aggies.

Camylie Sower went 3-for-4 with two RBIs while Powers went 2-for-4 with two runs and Solis went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Sower also got the win.

Hailey Vetitoe took the loss while Mikayla Phillips hit a double for the Maples in the opening game loss.

The Aggies beat the Maples, 21-5.

Snyder went 3-for-4 with a triple and four runs while Pickens went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs. Emma Pifer had two hits with a triple and two RBIs, Sydney Marks had two hits with a double and three RBIs and Osburn had two hits with three RBIs and four runs. Lily Hawkins had two hits, two RBIs and three runs and Scout Robinson had two hits and two RBIs.

Makenna Wheeler picked up the win the in circle.

Phillips and Vetitoe each hit doubles for Adrian with Vetitoe getting a pair of hits while Ciara Ernst took the loss.

Morenci at Whitmore Lake (DH)

The Bulldogs won a pair of non-league games, 18-0 and 16-0

Addyson Valentine struck out nine and gave up one hit between the two games, winning both.

Zoey Martinez and Evelyn Joughin each had two hits and four runs in Game 1. Martinez had three hits in Game 2 while Joughin had two more and Valentine hit a home run and doubled with four RBIs.

Kettering Michigan Challenge

Clinton topped Whiteford, 10-7, after falling to South Lyon, 8-0.

Kendall Phillip hit a home run and drove in two while Lola Szczesniak went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Taryn Hernandez went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs and Lydia Ormsby went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the win. Szczesniak got the win.

Phillip took the loss while the Redwolves were held to two hits against South Lyon.

Al Glick Invite

Onsted went 1-1 on the day as the Wildcats beat Reading, 9-5, before falling 6-1 to Jackson Lumen Christi.

Alyssa Sims went 3-for-4 with an RBI, Sydney Keefe went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Ainsley Brezvai had two hits with an RBI. Wilson hit a double with an RBI. Eva Barber got the win in the circle.

Olivia Harding had two hits with an RBI in the loss while Megan Hunt took the loss in the circle.

Boys Golf

Clinton Invite

SALINE — The Redwolves hosted an invite at Rustic Glen where they took second with a 331 while Saline won at 321.

Madison took sixth at 355 while Blissfield placed 10th (363).

Madison's Lucas Dopp was the medalist as he shot one-under 71 to break the Trojans' record.

Jacob Rothman led Clinton as he tied for third at 76 while Robert McDonald shot an 83 to finish in the top 10.
