LeBron James will miss Friday’s Lakers vs. Kings game

The list of problems for the Los Angeles Lakers is slowly increasing.

To go along with their four-game losing streak, 2-9 record and league-worst ranks in offensive rating and 3-point shooting percentage, they’re now dealing with an injury to their franchise player.

LeBron James pulled up lame in Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a strained left adductor. He was listed as doubtful for Friday’s tilt versus the Sacramento Kings, but it was widely expected he would miss at least one or two games with the ailment.

Later, James was officially ruled out of the contest against the Kings.

The good news for L.A. is that it will have four full days of rest to start next week before taking on the Detroit Pistons next Friday. That could presumably give James the opportunity to allow his adductor strain to heal enough so he could return for that contest.
