Lebanon set to host regional contests

Mar. 8—Lebanon will host two IHSAA regional games on Saturday afternoon/evening.

For the second-straight year, Rosenstihl Gymnasium will be one of the 16 regional sites in the state.

This is the second-year of the newly modified one-game regional format.

Lebanon will host the 2A South Regional match-up between Irvington Prep Academy (16-9) and Park Tudor (19-5).

The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

Major Davis leads Irvington Prep in averaging 15.6 points and 9.1 rebounds. Gideon Ohuabunwa is averaging 13.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.3 assists.

Javen Medaris is chipping in 12.7 points and 5.8 rebounds.

Park Tudor does not post statistics for the season.

Park Tudor is looking for their seventh all-time regional title and first since 2015. Irvington Prep is playing in the regional for the first time.

The second game of the night will be the Class 3A South Regional between Northview (14-11) and Danville (21-3).

Tip is tentatively scheduled for 7 p.m.

For Danville, Evan Lawrence is averaging 13.0 points and 10.9 rebounds.

Jace Scrafton is averaging 11.2 points and 4.6 rebounds. Elijah Tricker is averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists. Zachary Waits is scoring 9.4 points a game and Lukas McMahon is scoring 8.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

For Northview, Brayden Goff is averaging 18.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

Christian Bryan is scoring 7.4 points a game and Trayven Buis is scoring 6.7. points a game.

Danville is looking for their fourth regional title and first since 2018. Northview is appearing in their fourth regional since 2016 but looking for their first regional title.
